Man is accountable

Will man have to account for everything that he does in this world?
Praise be to Allaah. Each person is a pledge for that which he has earned (cf. al-Toor 52:21, al-Muddaththir 74:38) Whoever believes and does righteous deeds will enter Paradise and whoever disbelieves in Allaah and His Messenger will enter Hell. Relationship of Sin and Attitude to Aqeedah

Does falling into sin indicate that there is something wrong with one's 'aqeedah (belief system)?

Praise be to Allah.Good attitudes; which are those that are obedience in and of themselves or lead to obedience, are part of Islam, in fact they are Islam. Allah praised His Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) for being "on an exalted standard of character" and Ibn ... Continue Reading

Description of the Prophet’s prayer

What is Description of the Prophet’s prayer ?.
Praise be to Allaah.1 – Facing the direction of the Ka’bah1- When you stand up to pray, face the direction of the Ka’bah wherever you are, in both fard (obligatory) and naafil (supererogatory) prayers. This is one of the pillars of prayer, without which prayer is not valid.2- The ... Continue Reading

Is it permissible to wear another piece of cloth inside the ihram that is not tailored to fit the body?

I bought the ihram garments, and the set came with three pieces, two pieces like towels, one for the upper part of the body and the other for the lower part. As for the third piece, it is to be used as a kind of underwear on the lower part. The three pieces are not stitched, but they have two metal snap fasteners for securing the garments.
Does the fact that it has two metal snap fasteners to secure it make these garments unacceptable according to sharee‘ah? I heard that it is not permissible to wear the third piece that is described above – is that correct?

Praise be to Allah The piece of cloth that is worn as a kind of underwear for the lower part of the body, as mentioned in the question, is not one of the things that are prohibited when in ihram, because what is prohibited is wearing pants and, similarly, underpants that people ordinarily ... Has she broken her oath?

A Muslim woman swore that she would not speak to another Muslim woman because of a dispute that had arisen between them. Then the other woman sent her several text messages, repeatedly, so the first woman responded by a text message. Now the first woman is asking: do I have to offer expiation for breaking an oath or not? What should I do if I want to talk to her again?.

Praise be to Allaah. If a person swears that he will not speak to someone, then writes a message to him, there is a difference of opinion among the fuqaha’ as to whether he has broken his oath. The Hanafis and Shaafa‘is say that he has not broken his oath.  The Maalikis ... Continue Reading

He came from Egypt to Jeddah for work during Hajj season, then he was given permission to do Hajj, so he entered ihram from Jeddah

I am from Egypt, and I went to Jeddah for work during Hajj season. After spending twenty days in Jeddah my work ended, and I was given permission to do Hajj, so I intended to do Hajj from that time, and I entered ihram for ‘Umrah from Jeddah, intending to do Hajj tamattu‘ (in which one enters ihram for ‘Umrah, exits ihram after ‘Umrah, then enters ihram again for Hajj on 8th Dhu’l-Hijjah). Is this correct, or do I have to go back to the miqaat of the people of Egypt?

Praise be to Allah. If a person wants to do Hajj or ‘Umrah, and he is outside the miqaat boundary, he has to enter ihram from the miqaat. However, if his place of residence is within the miqaat boundary, such as the people of Jedah, then he may enter ihram from his place of residence, ... Continue Reading

Differences between semen (maniy) and urethral fluid (madhiy)

Some times when i wake up in the morning, i find some wet coming out. Please don't take it as a wet dream, or urine, becuase the sticky stuff comes out usually just after i have woken up in the morning. Most of the days i have to wash my under wear just becasue of that, and sometimes i wash my pants too.

I read it somewhere that if its not semen, just that sticky stuff than we don't need to perform ghusl, and only wuzu is enough to offer prayers. If it is then what about the clothes?. The same stuff comes out during some salacious situations also, though i try to stay away from all that kind of stuff.

The first difference: qualitiesSemen in the case of men is a thick, white liquid, and in the case of women it is thin and yellow. (Translator’s note: the word maniy is used to refer to the fluid secreted by either male or female at the time of orgasm). The source for these descriptions of ... Continue Reading

Sending blessings and peace upon the Prophets, and praying for Allah’s pleasure, mercy and safety for others

What is customary is for us to say “Blessings and peace of Allah be upon him (sall Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)” specifically for our Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him); is it permissible to offer this supplication with this wording for other Prophets? Who are the only ones for whom the following phrases are to be used: may Allah be pleased with him (radiya Allahu ‘anhu), may Allah have mercy on him (rahimahu Allah), may Allah keep him safe (sallamahu Allah)? Is it permissible to offer supplication for a great scholar who strove all his life to call people to Allah and His Messenger, such as Shaykh ‘Abd al-‘Azeez ibn Baaz and other, similar contemporary scholars, when they die, by saying “may Allah be pleased with him” or “peace be upon him”?

Praise be to Allah. Firstly:Offering supplication by saying “Blessings and peace of Allah be upon him (sall Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam)” is not only for our Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him); rather it may be said for all the Prophets (blessings and ... Continue Reading

Showing disrespect to Allaah, may He be glorified, by of joking

My question deals with a friend of mine who was ignorantly joking. When my friend was teased by another friend he ignorantly picked up his phone out of joking and said I have to tell Allah. Then he said on the phone "Hello, Allah" as to tell Allah. I know this is incorrect but is this shirk?

Praise be to Allaah. Belief in Allaah is based on respect and veneration of Him and submission to Him. Hence Allaah criticized the kaafirs and stated that they associated others with Him because they did not make a just estimate of Allaah such as is due to Him, as He says (interpretation of ... The proper way to make du’aa’ during prayer

I would like to know the proper way to make du’aa’ during prayer, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) did it. Is it after the prayer or between the two prostrations or whilst standing or when?.

Praise be to Allaah.   Firstly:  Note that there is not one particular part of the prayer when du’aa’ should be offered, rather there are several parts of the prayer where the scholars have stated that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) ... Continue Reading
