How Can We Thank the Grace of the Birth of the Prophet, Peace be upon Him?

One of the graces that Allah the Almighty bestowed upon us is the birth and mission of the Prophet, Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon Him, as well as revealing the Noble Quran to him. However, how should we thank Allah for His Graces? We should thank Him through the deeds that He prescribed to us. The Prophet, Peace be upon him, showed us what deed we should do and when we should do it in order to thank Allah for the grace of his birth. The deed is fasting and the time is Monday according to the authentic Prophetic sayings. Adhering to this, we obtain great benefits and huge returns including, but not limited to: i) thanking Allah the Almighty through what He prescribed; it is the worship of obedience and submission, ii) following the Prophet, Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him; it is the worship of following the Messenger of Allah that Allah made as a sign and proof on the servants’ love for Allah and Allah’ love for them by return, iii) esteeming the Prophet, Peace and Blessings of Allah upon him, by doing such a rightful deed though it involves apparent hardship. Doing so, one should voluntarily fast one month and half in one year, i.e. half a month more than Ramadan. Maintaining that deed, one should fast four days throughout different seasons, on the hottest days and coldest ones; on the longest days and shortest ones; on the busiest days and emptiest ones; on the happiest days and saddest ones, leaving food appetite and sexual desire behind as a way of thanking and worshiping Allah, May He Be Glorified and Exalted, and conforming to the Tradition of the Messenger of Allah, Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon Him. One does so while seeing those around him eating, drinking and enjoying. Surely, this shows an obvious and unquestionable “love” so follow this straight way and give up other branch roads.
