The ideal way to send blessings upon the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)

I am one of those who send blessings upon the Prophet between 50 and 100 times a day, according to circumstances. I say: “Allahumma salli ‘ala Muhammadin wa aali Muhammad (O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad).” There are some people who tell me that my sending blessings upon the Messenger of Allah is lacking. Can you tell us – may Allah reward you with good – what is the ideal way to send blessings upon the master of mankind, and is the way I am doing it really lacking?

Praise be to Allah.Sending blessings upon the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) is one of the greatest acts of worship encouraged in Islam, and it is one of the most beneficial supplications for a person in this world and the hereafter, and it is one of the requirements of loving, ... Our daughter is having strange experiences during sleep. She complains of feeling something pressing down on her chest which paralyzes her entire body. She cannot even speak. Sobbing and weeping while reciting the Quran

It has become common, of late, for people to recite the Qur'ân in a style that comprises a lot of affected weeping. Their recitation loses its sweetness as a consequence. It is closer to wailing than to a recitation. What do Islamic teachings say about this approach to reciting the Qur'ân?

Sheikh `Abd al-Rahmân al-Barrâk The recitation of the Qur'ân is one of the best means of seeking nearness to Allah. It is an act of worship and devotion, and there are certain manners and etiquettes associated with it.One of these etiquettes is to recite the ... Continue Reading

Showing disrespect to Allaah, may He be glorified, by of joking

My question deals with a friend of mine who was ignorantly joking. When my friend was teased by another friend he ignorantly picked up his phone out of joking and said I have to tell Allah. Then he said on the phone "Hello, Allah" as to tell Allah. I know this is incorrect but is this shirk?

Praise be to Allaah. Belief in Allaah is based on respect and veneration of Him and submission to Him. Hence Allaah criticized the kaafirs and stated that they associated others with Him because they did not make a just estimate of Allaah such as is due to Him, as He says (interpretation of ... My mother's rights over me, my rights over her, and the extent of my independence

I have a few questions concerning parents:
1. What right does my Mother have over me?
2. What right do I have over my mother?
3. What do I have the freedom to do (which is Halal or Mubah, Ofcourse) without my Mother having the right to stop me?
4. When does the Father have the final say in a matter?

I love my mother very very very much. She is very over protective, and sometimes I feel like I'm in chains. I know she is doing it out of extreme love for me. How can I tell her that I need a little choice of my own in life.

Praise be to Allah. 1. The mother's rights over her childThe mother has many major rights over her child. These rights are innumerable, but we may mention the following:a. Love and respect, as much as possible, because she is the most deserving of people of her son's good ... Continue Reading

Muslim woman’s hijaab in front of kaafir women

What are the things that a Muslim woman may uncover in front of a kaafir woman, such as a Buddhist woman for example? Is it true that she is not allowed to uncover her face?

Praise be to Allah.  The correct view is that a woman may uncover what is above the navel and what is below the knees in front of another woman, whether she is a Muslim or a kaafir. As for the area between the navel and the knees, this is 'awrah and is to be covered in front of everyone. ... Continue Reading
