(51) (51) And We had certainly given Abraham his sound judgement before,[891] and We were of him well-Knowing

[891]- i.e., before Moses. Allāh had guided him from early youth.

(52) (52) When he said to his father and his people, "What are these statues to which you are devoted?"

(53) (53) They ...

(1) (1) The command of Allāh is coming,[690] so be not impatient for it. Exalted is He and high above what they associate with Him.

(61) (61) And if Allāh were to impose blame on the people for their wrongdoing, He would not have left upon it [i.e., the earth] any creature, but He defers them for a specified term. And when their term has come, they will not remain behind an hour, nor will they precede [it].

When a child is born, it has with it a natural belief in God. This natural belief is called in Arabic the "Fitrah".[1] If the child were left alone, it would grow up aware of God in His oneness, but all children are affected by the pressures of their environment whether directly or indirectly. ...

I was brought up in a devout Catholic family and raised with Catholic values and traditions. At fifteen, I entered the monastery. While inside the monastery, I was happy because I could perform my duties as a nun and the people around me including my family were also pleased with me.
