Revival of Sunnah - #1 The Sunnah of Tahleel

Since 2014-09-21

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, «Whoever says: "La ilaha illal-lah wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahu-l-mulk wa lahul- hamd wa huwa 'ala kulli shai'in qadir" one hundred times will get the same reward as given for manumitting ten slaves; and one hundred good deeds will be written in his accounts, and one hundred sins will be deducted from his accounts, and it (his saying) will be a shield for him from Satan on that day till night, and nobody will be able to do a better deed except the one who does more than he.» (Bukhair and Muslim)

This is a great Sunnah with unimaginable reward. The prophet (ﷺ) looked into his own words and the words of the other prophets and found that ‘Tahleel’ was the best of their speech. The prophet (ﷺ) said:  «And the best of what I and the Prophets before me have said is: "La Ilaha Illallah, Wahdahu La Sharika Lahu, Lahul-Mulku Wa Lahul-Hamdu, Wa Huwa Ala Kulli Shai’in Qadir", Translation: "None has the right to be worshipped but Allah alone, without partner, to Him belongs all that exists, and to Him belongs the Praise, and He is powerful over all things" » (Al-Tirmithi).

This Sunnah only takes about 10 minutes everday, you can say it while your are on a bus, driving or even doing daily routine chores. And always remind yourself that:

{وَإِنْ تُطِيعُوهُ تَهْتَدُوا}

{And if you obey him, you will be [rightly] guided} [An-Nur:54].
