Since 2012-11-15
The sacred months have a great status in Islam, including the sacred Month of Rajab so we should observe the sacredness of these months and be careful not to commit sins during them because of their special rank.
In the name of Allah......
We Praise Allah who created the sacred months including Rajab of Muddar
Prayers and peace be upon Mohammed who didn’t specify Rajab with ‘Umar
And Upon his companions and everyone one walking the path of Abu Bakr and Umar
Muddar: An Arab tribe who used to glorify Rajjab
‘Umar: (the first one means) Minor Hajj
Praise be to Allah and peace be upon our prophet Muhammad, his family and companions
The Sacred month of Rajab
If this climber leaves the rope, he will perish.
In the same manner if we leave the way of Allah, we will perish.
The status of the month Rajab:
Dear Muslims: the sacred months have a great status in Islam, including the sacred Month of Rajab so we should observe the sacredness of these months and be careful not to commit sins during them because of their special rank. Allah Almighty says, “Indeed, the number of months with Allah is twelve [lunar] months in the register of Allah [from] the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred. That is the correct religion, so do not wrong yourselves during them. And fight against the disbelievers collectively as they fight against you collectively. And know that Allah is with the righteous [who fear Him].” [Al-Tawbah 9:36]
{إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الشُّهُورِ عِندَ اللَّـهِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا فِي كِتَابِ اللَّـهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ مِنْهَا أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الدِّينُ الْقَيِّمُ ۚ فَلَا تَظْلِمُوا فِيهِنَّ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۚ وَقَاتِلُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ كَافَّةً كَمَا يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ كَافَّةً ۚ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّـهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَ}

- The sacred Months are (Rajab, Zul Qi'dah, Zul Hijjah, Muharram), three of them are consecutive and one is singled which is Rajjab.
- Celebrating the occasion of Israa and Me’raaj (night journey and ascension to the heavens of the Prophet in the month of Rajab:
Dear brothers and sisters: Some Muslims (may Allah guide them and us to the right path) are accustomed to celebrate in the 27th night of Rajab with the occasion of Israa and Mi’raaj. They gather in the Masjid to listen to religious lectures and sermons, light the minarets and streets. Broadcast these celebrations through satellite channels and radiobroadcast.
Important remarks concerning this celebration:
Firstly: there is no precise consensus among the scholars upon the exact date of this great miracle, therefore how can it be celebrated in that exact date?
Secondly: if we were to celebrate the Prophet's miracles, we should’ve celebrated every day because as it is known, there are hundreds of our prophet's miracles.
Thirdly: how can we keep on doing something on which the scholars agreed that neither the prophet nor his companions did, especially if we know that the scholars provided that some Sunnah should be left sometimes lest some Muslims think that it is one the obligations.
Fourthly: we must abide to what is proved to be done by the Prophet (Prayers and peace of Allah be upon him) of his endeavor in kinds of worship (like night prayer, fasting…….etc) in the days which have been glorified in Islam. Such as Ashura day, Arafah day, the last ten days of Ramadan, the first ten days of Thul-Hijjah, the night and day of Jumu’ah and other days.
- The wisdom behind the Prophet's miracle of Israa (night journey) to Masjid Al-Aqsa in Palestine:
There is countless wisdom, the most important of which are the following:
1- The Prophet led all the Messengers in prayer (the people's leader is the best of them) in Masjid Al-Aqsa in that blessed night and this proves that the religion of all prophets' is Islam which calls to one Lord (Almighty Allah).
2- It refers not only to the importance of the blessed Masjid Al-Aqsa for Muslims but also to their duty to safeguard it as a trust in their hands till the Day of Judgment.
3- There is a scientific sign in the Prophet's miracle of Israa’ (night journey) to the Masjid Al-Aqsa, as it was discovered through Astronomy and space- rockets that the sky has gates by which only we can go to space and one of these gates is above Masjid Al-Aqsa.
Allah Almighty has chosen for his Prophet the gate of Masjid Al-Aqsa to ascend to the heavens, although He was able to make His Prophet ascend from any other place but He (the Almighty) wanted to give a scientific evidence for His Prophet's truthfulness in what he conveys of his Lord.
Some innovated practices in Rajab:
Firstly: the innovation of believing that celebrating al-Israa and Me’raaj is Sunnah.
Secondly: To specify Rajab with innovated prayers:
1- Al-Raghaeb prayer (all its Ahadith are fabricated).
2- Um Dawud prayer (has no origin in Islam).
Thirdly: To specify Rajab with innovated charity (on behalf of the dead):
Giving charity is needed in all times (whether in Rajab or other months).
Fourthly: the innovation of specifying Rajab with fasting:
Neither the prophet nor his companions-May Allah be pleased with them- specified Rajab with special fasting.
Fifthly: To specify Rajab with Umrah:
There is no evidence that the Islamic shariah specified Rajab with Umrah, Rather Rajab is like all other months.
Sixthly: To specify Rajab with some invocations.
Seventhly: To specify Rajab with visiting graveyards, while this visit can be done at any time.
Finally: the scholars said that all Ahadith related to the virtues of Rajab are weak moreover, fabricated.
Lastly Our beloved fellow Muslims for the sake of Allah Almighty: the foregoing are some matters that every Muslim should know about Rajab and every Muslim should hold on to the Glorious Quran and the purified Sunnah and leave all what contradicts them.
We ask Allah Almighty to guide us, you, and all Muslims to what He wills.
And peace be upon you all................
