Stay Home...Stay Safe...Prophetic Instructions in the Time of Plague
Narrated by Uqbah bin Amer, May Allah be pleased with him, I asked the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), "How can salvation be achieved?"
He replied, "Control your tongue, keep to your house, and weep over your sins."
Narrated by Abd El Rahman bin Awf, May Allah be pleased with him, I heard the messenger of Allah (ﷺ) say, “When you hear that [a plague] is in a land, do not go to it and if it occurs in a land that you are already in, then do not leave it, fleeing from it.'”
(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 5729 and Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 2219)
The Prophet (ﷺ) called for quarantine in the times of plague more than 1400 years ago. Now the whole world echoes the same prophetic instructions, trying to stop the Covid19 pandemic. It is one of a series of proofs that highlights Islam as the true religion viable for all times, all situations and all people. May Allah guide people to Islam!
