Is it permissible to fast without praying?.

What are the dates of the birth and death of the Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)? I have seen many opinions concerning that; which is the correct opinion and what is the evidence in the light of the Qur’an and Sunnah

I am curious about the coverings that you have to wear if you’re a female in your religion/culture. it really does all seem very vain for us that are Christian because it implies that a woman thinks every man wants her if she is not wearing this type of garb. It also seems that men are not to be trusted with someone from your culture/religion because of your "beauty" that you feel you possess, but people could be beautiful and not every man wants them. Can you shed some light on this for me? I will be honest and say that when I see someone wearing this, I always think "how vain are you?". Thank you ahead of time for replying.

A young man proposed to a girl, but when the marriage contract was done, the girl’s father had a disagreement with his daughter’s fiancé, and refused to do the marriage contract. But the girl, her mother and her brother wanted the marriage to go ahead, so they left their house and rented an apartment, and they left the father who refused to do the marriage contract, and the marriage contract was done; the maternal uncle of the girl was the one who acted as her guardian (wali) in this marriage contract, in the presence of her brother. They argued that the father does not pray and they did not want him to be the wali of his daughter. How valid is this marriage contract?

In our community in India, little girls are given kunyahs such as Umm Haani’ and Umm Salamah. Is this acceptable?

One of the guys at work was asking me why I became Muslim and I told him it is the path I must follow. I don’t know sometimes what I should say, for me it is the path I must follow. What can I say to someone; I don’t want to push what I believe, so how should I answer someone if asked, what is the right way to answer the questions? Sometimes I feel I don’t give the right answers... Any clues as to what I can say?

Is it permissible to remove janaabah by means of tayammum?.

I would like to know the proper way to make du’aa’ during prayer, as the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) did it. Is it after the prayer or between the two prostrations or whilst standing or when?.

In our country we have been affected by war and we were expelled from our land 23 years ago. Praise be to Allah, my father and I are settled now and we have a business. We borrowed money in order to settle and start a business, the value of which was 1 million. When we worked out the value of zakaah that we owe on the property and trade goods that we have in our possession, it was estimated to be 7 million, and the trade goods on which zakaah is due are worth 5 or 6 million. 
My questions are: 
1. Are we required to pay zakaah, as we have not paid it all these years because we were not able to pay off the debt of 1 million? Was it correct for us not to pay zakaah?
2. We do not have any cash now, if we are required to pay zakaah. We helped a brother of ours to pay off a debt he owed, so that he could pay off the borrowed amount without paying the interest that had been agreed upon. Is it possible for us to waive this debt and thus pay off the zakaah that we owe?
3. We own some property in the country where the war was, that we took possession of after the war ended, and we are planning to sell this property in order to pay off debts and so that we can buy a house in the place where we live now. Is this property subject to zakaah?.

I bought the ihram garments, and the set came with three pieces, two pieces like towels, one for the upper part of the body and the other for the lower part. As for the third piece, it is to be used as a kind of underwear on the lower part. The three pieces are not stitched, but they have two metal snap fasteners for securing the garments.
Does the fact that it has two metal snap fasteners to secure it make these garments unacceptable according to sharee‘ah? I heard that it is not permissible to wear the third piece that is described above – is that correct?
