Deviant Groups in Islam EXPOSED

Since 2008-07-01

This page is dedicated to those who would sincerely like to know what is behind one of the fastest growing problems facing Muslims today -"Dividing up into groups or sects of Islam"

There are many people insisting on misrepresenting Islam and Muslims whether from a lack of proper knowledge or by devious intention. We intend to provide here, up-to-date information for Muslims and those seeking to know the truth about Islam, about those people who claim to be part of the Muslim community, while not really adhering to the teachings of Islam based on the ancient and authentic teaching of real Islam according to the Quran in Arabic and the proven sayings and teachings of the prophet of Islam, Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Abdul Muttalib, who lived in Makkah over 1,400 years ago.

Deviant groups claiming to be "Muslims" or "Islamic" are not new and have been around since the time of the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him. Even while he was still alive and living in Madinah, there was a group of people (known as "munafiqs" or "hypcrites") planning and plotting on ways to undermine Islam and the Muslims, all the while representing themselves as part of the Muslim community.

Education based on the actual Arabic language of the Quran and the sunnah (way of Muhammad, peace be upon him), is the strongest way to solve the problems of ignorance, stop the confusion and remove doubts when trying to sort out the facts with regard to these groups and what their various agendas really are.

Obviously, this is not meant to be an attack on any individual or true Muslim group, and the information provided herein is only based on the beliefs, practices, and teachings of these groups and how they may have deviated away from the mainstream beliefs and practices of Islam.

Comments, discussions and suggestions regarding information on this topic are most welcome. Please write to us at: [email protected]

Introduction

The Qur'an and Sunnah are the only two sources/evidences used for the essential beliefs of those people who call themselves Muslims.
What are those beliefs and practices? The most important one is that there is no deity worth of worship except Allah. This is the first half of the attestation of every Muslim, the second half being that Muhammad is a Messenger of Allah. There are a few other fundamental principles that a Muslim is required to believe and practice, but further information is available elsewhere.

It is necessary to provide a brief overview of the many religious groups around the world who use the name of Islam and the religion of Allah for their various deviant schemes and practices. We will endeavor to expose their errors in representation clearly and prove they are absolutely in violation of the basic principles of the Quran and Sunnah (way of Muhammad, peace be upon him).

Although there are many groups, too many to number, we have taken on the most widely known and largest of these groups to refute in our discussion. They are:

- Nation of Islam
- The Nation of Gods and Earths (5% Nation of Islam)
- The Ahmadiyya/Qadiani Movement
- The International Community of Submitters Nation of Islam

Nation of Islam

The followers of the Nation Of Islam believe in (all quotes taken from their homepage or their publications): One God (Allah) and that Allah (God) appeared in the Person of Master W.Fard Muhammad, July, 1930; the long awaited 'Messiah' of the Christians and the 'Mahdi' of the Muslims... However, the Qur'an states:
"Serve Allah, and join not Any partners with Him" [Al Nisaa 4:36]

{وَاعْبُدُواْ اللّهَ وَلاَ تُشْرِكُواْ بِهِ شَيْئاً}
Transliteration: Wa A`budū Allāha Wa Lā Tushrikū Bihi Shay'āan

And according to a hadith narrated by Masruq, in Sahih Bukhari,
"If anyone tells you that Muhammad has seen his Lord, he is a liar, for Allah says (in 6:103), 'No vision can grasp Him.
»

«من حدثك أن محمدا صلى الله عليه وسلم رأى ربه فقد كذب، وهو يقول: {لا تدركه الأبصار}»

The followers of the Nation Of Islam further believe: in the resurrection of the dead--not in physical resurrection--but in mental resurrection. We also believe that the so-called Negroes are most in need of mental resurrection; therefore, they will be resurrected first.

But the Qur'an states:
"From the earth did We Create you, and into it Shall We return you, and from it shall We bring you out once again." [Taha 20:55]
{مِنْهَا خَلَقْنَاكُمْ وَفِيهَا نُعِيدُكُمْ وَمِنْهَا نُخْرِجُكُمْ تَارَةً أُخْرَى}

Transliteration: Minhā Khalaqnākum Wa Fīhā Nu`īdukum Wa Minhā Nukhrijukum Tāratan 'Ukhrá

Even more pointedly, the Qur'an also states:
"The unbelievers think they will not be raised up (for the Judgement Day). Say, 'Yes, by my Lord, you shall surely be raised up, then you shall be told of all that you used to do' And that is easy for Allah"[Al-Taghabun 64:7]

{زَعَمَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا أَن لَّن يُبْعَثُوا قُلْ بَلَى وَرَبِّي لَتُبْعَثُنَّ ثُمَّ لَتُنَبَّؤُنَّ بِمَا عَمِلْتُمْ وَذَلِكَ عَلَى اللَّهِ يَسِيرٌ}
Transliteration: Za`ama Al-Ladhīna Kafarū 'An Lan Yub`athū Qul Balaá Wa Rabbī Latub`athunna Thumma Latunabba'uunna Bimā `Amiltum Wa Dhalika `Alaá Allāhi Yasīrun

Besides the above two differences, the followers of the Nation of Islam also believe in other things contrary to Islam as defined in the Qur'an and Sunnah, such as:

We [the Black Muslims] believe: in the truth of the Bible, but we believe that it has been tampered with and must be reinterpreted so that mankind will not be snared by the falsehoods that have been added to it.
The problem with this belief: The true Prophet of Islam ordered Muslims to neither accept the Bible nor reject it - certainly there was no mention of reinterpretation.

That we who declare ourselves to be righteous Muslims, should not participate in wars which take the lives of humans. We do not believe this nation should force us to take part in such wars, for we have nothing to gain from it unless America agrees to give us the necessary territory wherein we may have something to fight for.
The problem with this belief: The Qur'an and Sunnah are crystal clear on the necessity of going to war when the situation demands it.

The Nation of Gods and Earths (5% Nation of Islam)

The "Five Percenters" as they are commonly nicknamed or the Nation of Gods and Earths (5% Nation of Islam) is apparently an offshoot of the so-called Nation of Islam.
Like its parent, this group's beliefs clearly identify it as being fundamentally outside the pale of Islam. Specifically, and we quote (from their homepage):
The original man is the Asiatic Blackman, the maker, the owner, the cream of the planet Earth, father of civilization, God of the Universe.
The blackman is god and his proper name is A-L-L-A-H, which is the acronym for "Arm-Leg-Leg-Arm-Head".
This is ridiculous for anyone having even the slightest knowledge of the Arabic language because the word "Allah" is not English, it is Arabic and the letters in Arabic are "Alief", "Lam", "Lam", "Ha". The words for "arm", "leg" and "head" in Arabic do not start with any of those letters.
Additionally, this is in clear contradiction with one of the essential axioms of Islam, namely that Allah (God) is Creator and all else (including men - asiatic blacks or otherwise) is created. The Qur'an states:

"It is He Who has created man from water..." [Al-Forqan 25:54]

{وَهُوَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ مِنَ الْمَاء بَشَراً }
Transliteration: Wa Huwa Al-Ladhī Khalaqa Mina Al-Mā'i Basharāan …

The second quote above is a prime example of a tendency of the Nation of Gods and Earths to conjure up beliefs that are, to a large extent, highly confused. Some examples of these beliefs that have nothing to do with Islam are supreme mathematics and alphabet, an evil person named Yacob, a prophet named W. D. Fard, and a belief that black people are superior in some way.
The true Prophet of Islam refuted this last racist belief in his Farewell Address, O people! Verily your Lord is one and your father is one. All of you belong to one ancestry of Adam and Adam was created out of clay. There is no superiority for an Arab over a non-Arab and for a non-Arab over an Arab; nor for white over the black nor for the black over the white except in piety. Verily the noblest among you is he who is the most pious.

The Ahmadiyya/Qadiani Movement

The Ahmadiyya Movement, which originated in the Indian subcontinent under the patronage of the British colonialists, espouses beliefs which leave no doubt as to their apostasy from Islam.
Among their erroneous beliefs is their denial of the finality of Prophethood of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah on him), an article of faith endorsed by the Qur'an and Hadith reports as well as the consensus of the Companions and scholars.
The Quran states:
"O people! Muhammad has no sons among ye men, but verily, he is the Messenger of Allah and the last in the line of Prophets. And Allah is aware of everything." [Al Ahzab 33:40]

{مَّا كَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ أَبَا أَحَدٍ مِّن رِّجَالِكُمْ وَلَكِن رَّسُولَ اللَّهِ وَخَاتَمَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيماً}
Transliteration: Mā Kāna Muĥammadun 'Abā 'Aĥadin Min Rijālikum Wa Lakin Rasūla Allāhi Wa Khātama An-Nabīyīna Wa Kāna Allāhu Bikulli Shay'in `Alīmāan

The true Prophet of Islam, Muhammad, observed: «The tribe of Israel was guided by prophets. When a prophet passed away, another succeeded him. But no prophet will come after me; only caliphs will succeed me.» [Reported by Al-Bukhari]
«كانت بنو إسرائيل تسوسهم الأنبياء، كلما هلك نبي خلفه نبي، وإنه لا نبي بعدي، وسيكون خلفاء فيكثرون»

The Ahmadiyyas are followers of a certain Mirza Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian who lay claim to prophethood and used fabricated Hadith reports and twisted meanings of some Qur'anic verses to support himself. However, the true Prophet of Islam warned of this danger explicitly, He said PBUH: «The Hour will not come ... until nearly thirty "dajjals" (liars) appear, each one claiming to be a messenger from Allah.» [Reported by Muslim]
«لا تقوم الساعة حتى يبعث دجالون كذابون قريب من ثلاثين. كلهم يزعم أنه رسول الله.»

Shortly after the death of Prophet Muhammad, a man named Musailama, a claimant to prophethood, was fought against together with his followers for their apostasy. It is worth noting that Musailama did not deny the prophethood of Muhammad (peace and blessings on him) and nor did his followers. It is also worth noting that it was misinformation that led the tribe of Banu Hunaifa to accept Musailama's false claims. Nevertheless, the consensus of the companions was to declare them apostates and wage a war against them. This is evidence enough to declare the Ahmadiyyas as disbelievers.

Another example of the Ahmadiyya's rejection of the Qur'an and Sunnah is their contention that Jesus died, and that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad was an incarnation of Jesus. In fact, according to the 1985 Encyclopedia Britannica, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad claimed to be not only Jesus but Prophet Muhammad, the Mahdi, and the Hindu god Krishna. It suffices to refer back to the essence of Islam which is the Uniqueness of God: any concept of man becoming god, worse yet a Hindu God who is one out of many, is false according to the Qur'an. On this, Islam is uncompromising; hence this error of the Ahmadiyyas is the foremost indication of their exit from Islam. Finally, the Ahmadiyyas also rejected jihad, a tactic which was designed to eliminate Muslim resistance to British colonialist rule>

The International Community of Submitters (also known as: Submitters International)

The Submitters are followers of the late Rashad Khalifa, a man who claimed to be a Messenger of Allah. This claim in itself is sufficient to remove the Submitters from Islam as the Qur'an states:
"O people! Muhammad has no sons among ye men, but verily, he is the Messenger of Allah and the last in the line of Prophets. And Allah is aware of everything." [Al Ahzab 33:40]

{مَّا كَانَ مُحَمَّدٌ أَبَا أَحَدٍ مِّن رِّجَالِكُمْ وَلَكِن رَّسُولَ اللَّهِ وَخَاتَمَ النَّبِيِّينَ وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَلِيماً}

Much of Rashad Khalifa's misguidance can be traced to his obsession with numerology, an obsession which has misguided many different people throughout history. Khalifa alleged that the Qur'an contained a mathematical code which revolved around the number 19. He went to the extent of removing two verses from the Qur'an because according to him:
"The word "God" ... is not a multiple of 19, unless we remove (it), and the "sum of all verse numbers where the word "God" occurs ... is 19X6217 ... If the false verse (9:129) is included, this phenomenon disappears."

By rejecting a single verse of the Qur'an, the Submitters bring themselves under the judgment of another verse. Quran States: "Do you believe in part of the Book and disbelieve in another part? And what is the reward of those who do so save ignominy in the life of the world, and on the Day of Resurrection they will be consigned to the most grievous doom" [Al Baqara 2:85]

{أَفَتُؤْمِنُونَ بِبَعْضِ الْكِتَابِ وَتَكْفُرُونَ بِبَعْضٍ فَمَا جَزَاء مَن يَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ مِنكُمْ إِلاَّ خِزْيٌ فِي الْحَيَاةِ الدُّنْيَا وَيَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يُرَدُّونَ إِلَى أَشَدِّ الْعَذَابِ}
Transliteration: 'A Fatu'uminūna Biba`đi Al-Kitābi Wa Takfurūna Biba`đin Famā Jazā'u Man Yaf`alu Dhālika Minkum 'Illā Khizyun Fī Al-Ĥayāati Ad-Dunyā Wa Yawma Al-Qiyāmati Yuraddūna 'Ilá 'Ashaddi Al-`Adhābi

It is interesting to note that Khalifa was a numerologist who did his blighted profession justice:
"He predicted the end of the world. However, Allah says in the Qur'an, "They ask you about the (last) hour, when will be its taking place? Say: The knowledge of it is only with my Lord; none but He shall manifest it at its time; it will be momentous in the heavens and the earth; it will not come on you but of a sudden. They ask you as if you were solicitous about it. Say: Its knowledge is only with Allah, but most people do not know." [Al-Araf 7:187]

{يَسْأَلُونَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَاهَا قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِندَ رَبِّي لاَ يُجَلِّيهَا لِوَقْتِهَا إِلاَّ هُوَ ثَقُلَتْ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالأَرْضِ لاَ تَأْتِيكُمْ إِلاَّ بَغْتَةً يَسْأَلُونَكَ كَأَنَّكَ حَفِيٌّ عَنْهَا قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِندَ اللّهِ وَلَـكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لاَ يَعْلَمُونَ}
Transliteration: Yas'alūnaka `Ani As-Sā`ati 'Ayyāna Mursāhā Qul 'Innamā `Ilmuhā `Inda Rabbī Lā Yujallīhā Liwaqtihā 'Illā Huwa Thaqulat Fī As-Samāwāti Wa Al-'Arđi Lā Ta'tīkum 'Illā Baghtatan Yas'alūnaka Ka'annaka Ĥafīyun `Anhā Qul 'Innamā `Ilmuhā `Inda Allāhi Wa Lakinna 'Akthara An-Nāsi Lā Ya`lamūna

The Submitters International also reject the Hadeeth (narrations of companions of the prophet, peace be upon him) and they do not consider his Sunnah (way) as a part of Islam at all. In fact, they have indicated anyone following the "sunnah" of the prophet, peace be upon him, as kufar (disbelievers in Islam).

For the Submitters, the Sunnah is not a source of Islam. The problems this presents are overwhelming, for by doing so the Submitters have effectively destroyed their ability to perform:
- Salaat (obligatory prayers), the second pillar of Islam
- Zakat (obligatory tax), the third pillar of Islam
- Sawm (fasting), the fourth pillar of Islam
- Hajj (pilgrimage), the fifth pillar of Islam

With four out of the five pillars of Islam removed, the Submitters have little to back their claim to being Muslim The true Messenger of Islam (peace be upon him) warned the Muslims about falling into this trap in a hadeeth:
This is narrated on the authority of Abu Rafi' that the prophet, peace be upon him, said:
«Do not let me find one of you reclining back on his couch when he hears something regarding me, which I have commanded or forbidden (from his sunnah) and saying, "We do not know. What we found in Allah's Book (Quran), we have followed» [Reported by Al-Albani]
«
لا ألفين أحدكم متكئاعلىأريكتهيأتيه الأمر مما أمرت به أو نهيت عنه فيقول لا أدري ما وجدنا في كتاب الله اتبعناه»

"It is He (Allah) who has named you MUSLIMS.." [Al-Hajj 22:78]

      Since
    Dear Brothers and Sisters, Assalamu Alaikum, About QURAN THE FINAL TESTAMENT: BY RASHAD KHALIFA With due respect, regard and love for everyone who prefers the eternal life to the fleeting life in this world, who accepts Almighty Allah alone as his /her protector and God, who practises regular salat and zakat leading a righteous life, may I note down a few remarks on the book-“Quran The Final Testament”. May Allah give us the patience and strength to keep an open heart to listen to the words and to follow the best in it and be among those guided by Allah (39:18). It seems that the author of the book cited had been doing research on the meaning of words like A.L.M, which are not the foundation of the book, for more than four years. Allah might have given him some insight into its meaning and a few convincing facts brought to light. This is because, the provisions cited in 41:10 may include the needs and appetites of Allah’s creatures and the needs of enquirers as well. But further reading shows that the scholar had been misusing his findings, to read his own meaning into Quran, instead of interpreting Quran with other related Quranic verses. He is found to have deduced the mathematical code and the common base “19” without any clear criteria as listed below: 1. Using the number of occurrence of a word. 2. Using the sum of verse numbers. 3. Total number of verses. 4. Total no of verses in two suras. 5. Total no of suras. 6. Total of sura numbers. 7. No of alphabets. 8. Chronology of suras. 9. Gematrical value 10. Sum of sura number and number of verses. 11. No of times the lips touch each other. 12. Forming long numbers by writing numbers of verses next to each Other. 13. Arranging initialled suras and noting the position of a particular sura. 14. Adding Gematrical value of a phrase in Quran plus sura no plus verse no plus gematrical value of Rashad Khalifa . 15. Adding sura no. plus no. of verses in it plus gematrical value of Rashad khalifa. 16. Including the gematrical value of Rashad Khalifa at times and value of Rashad only discarding khalifa at times, if it suits his intent. 17. Adding sura numbers plus no of verses in each sura from starting to some other typical verse in Quran. 18. Excluding sura numbers and adding only the number of verses from beginning to some typical verse. 19. Adding value of Rashad Khalifa plus a typical sura number plus numbers of typical four verses in that sura. 20. Accepting the findings of coresearchers to support his arguments and acknowledging them. 21. Using the words Rashada ,Rashad and Khalifa picked up from here and there and accounting for Khalifa at times and discarding Khalifa as “another Khalifa”at times and trying to deduce the name Rashad Khalifa. 22. Theodore Robert Bundy’s name consisting of nineteen letters is cited as God given sign to support the argument that “Those who die before the age of forty will go to heaven “. Such claims and his attempt to misinterpret and remove verses from Quran, manipulating the common base nineteen to suite his intentions is totally unacceptable to common Muslims who have a long time contact with the meaning of Quran. MESSENGER OF THE COVENANT To quote few examples, compare the following phrase and clause used in 3:81 and 33:7. The Phrase/clause used in verse 3:81 and in verse 33:7 1.Including you (O Muhammad) is Absent in 3:81 but A messenger to come afterwards & to testify all existing scriptures is Present in 3:81 2.A messenger to come afterwards & to testify all existing scriptures is absent in 33:7 but Including you (O Muhammad) is present in 33:07. Verse 33:7 includes the phrase “Including you (Muhammad)”and it does not contain the clause “A messenger to come afterwards & to testify all existing scriptures”. Therefore the covenant cited in 33:7 is applicable to Prophet Muhammad also. The covenant is not about a messenger to come afterwards but about questioning the truthful about their truthfulness (33:8) and to question the messengers and those who received the message (7:6). The verse 3:81 excludes the phrase” Including you (Muhammad)”and includes the clause “A messenger to come afterwards & to testify all existing scriptures”. Therefore the covenant in 3:81 is applicable to all prophets excluding Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as was foretold by Prophet Jesus in 61:6. The covenant in 61:6 was fulfilled as per verses 6:92, 3:3, 5:48, 35:31, and 7:157 by Prophet Muhammed (PBUH). Is it the scripture Quran that testify all existing scriptures or the explanation given for Quran by Rashad khalifa, that testify all existing scriptures? In verses 6:92, 3:3, 5:48 and 35:31 etc., we find the scripture Quran testifying all existing scriptures. It is well understandable that if Quran is testifying all the existing scriptures, which means eventually Muhammad (PBUH) is the messenger who testified all the existing scriptures as mentioned in 3:81. MESSENGERS RECIEVED SCRIPTURES Verse 41:43 implies that whatever has been revealed (told) to prophet Muhammad had been revealed (may be with slight variations) to the earlier messengers .Also verses like 3:184 confirms that all messengers received scriptures. 3:184 Then if they deny you, [O Muhammad] – so were messengers denied before you, who brought clear proofs and written ordinances and the enlightening Scripture. FIRST PILLAR OF ISLAM Verse 13:43(Those who disbelieved will say “You are not a messenger”. Say,”Allah suffices as a witness between me and you, and those who possess the knowledge of the scripture”).Therefore as mentioned in 13:43 the Muslims who have knowledge of Quran do also bear witness that “Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is Allah’s messenger“. As cited in 3:7 those who possess intelligence will say “we believe in this (Quran)-all of it comes from God ‘’. The moment they (And those among future generations) realize that all of it is from God; they will spontaneously witness that this is sent by Allah through his messenger prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and proclaim “Muhammadur Rasul Allah”. How could an act of spontaneous out-pour from the heart of a Muslim who gain knowledge from Quran and acting accordingly as cited in 13:43 amount to idolatry? Especially when he believes that there is no divine protector or helper for him other than Allah. An important point to be noted here is for providing witness that ‘there is no GOD except the one GOD’ even common knowledge is enough by looking in to the signs in the heavens and the earth as mentioned in 3:18 but for providing witness that Muhammad is God’s messenger it is essential that you should have the knowledge of the scripture as mentioned in 13:43. In other words if you witness that ‘there is no GOD except the one GOD’ it means you may have general/common knowledge as per 3:18 but only if you also say “Muhammadur Rasul Allah” that confirms that along with general/common knowledge you also possesses the knowledge of the scripture as per 13:43. In another angle we can say that who doesn’t witnesses “Muhammadur Rasul Allah” he is among the disbeliever and who does witness “Muhammadur Rasul Allah” is among the people who possess the knowledge of the scripture as per 13:43. Let us have a look in to both the verses which forms the first pillar of Islam… [3:18] GOD bears witness that there is no god except He, and so do the angels and those who possess knowledge. Truthfully and equitably, He is the absolute god; there is no god but Him, the Almighty, Most Wise. [13:43]Those who disbelieved will say, “You are not a messenger!” Say, “GOD suffices as a witness between me and you, and those who possess knowledge of the scripture.” Rashad Khalifa, who claimed to analyze every single alphabet in Quran should have noticed the identity of verse 13:43 with the common code 19, but he might have ignored it because it contradicted with his own verdict that proclaiming the second part of shahaadah (“Muhammadur Rasul Allah”) is an act of idolatry. He also states that the verse no 63:01 is the only place in Quran where the statement “Muhammad is Allah’s messenger” is made as an witness and only hypocrites make such a witness. Actually the verse 63:1 states – when the hypocrites come to you, they say “we witness that you are messenger of Allah”. Allah Knows that you are His messenger and Allah bears witness that the hypocrites are liars. By endorsing the statement of the lying hypocrites (63:01) against the witness of Allah and those who possesses the knowledge of the scripture (13:43) the author is attempting to brand all Muslims who witnesses “Muhammed (PBUH) is Allah’s messenger “as hypocrites. Allah knows very well that the hypocrites are dishonest because they utter only lip-service by hiding their evil thoughts and disbeliefs. Here another important point has to be noted and that is, in 63:01 Allah doesn’t says that witnessing Muhammadur RasulAllah is false but Allah clearly mentions that, those who said that statement in that particular incident are munafiqs since they were liars in their claims. Also through the verse number 63:01 we can realize that, anyone who wants to be a believer, he has to witness that Muhammad is a messenger. For further proof please see the following verse… [3:86] Why should GOD guide people who disbelieved after believing, and after witnessing that the messenger is truth, and after solid proofs have been given to them? GOD does not guide the wicked. Verse 3:86 makes it clear that once a community has been given solid proof, first it has to believe in it and then it has to bear/bore witness that the messenger is the truth , and it should never turn back to disbelief in order to be guided by GOD. The munafiqs are mentioned in Quran as liars because they say something which is not in their hearts. The following verses will make it very clear that why GOD says munafiqs are liars and it will also makes it clear that 63:01 is not the only place where they are mentioned as liars… 59:11 Have you noted those who are plagued with hypocrisy, and how they said to their companions in disbelief among the people of the scripture, “If you are evicted we will go out with you, and will never obey anyone who opposes you. If anyone fights you, we will fight on your side.” GOD bears witness that they are liars. [3:167]And to expose the hypocrites who were told, “Come fight in the cause of GOD, or contribute.” They said, “If we knew how to fight, we would have joined you.” They were closer to disbelief than they were to belief. They uttered with their mouths what was not in their hearts. GOD knows what they conceal. MAKING DISTINCTION BETWEEN ALLAH’S MESSENGERS Argument 1: In 4:150,151 It is mentioned that those who seek distinction among Allah and His messengers and say, “we believe in some and reject some “and wish to follow a path in between are real disbelievers. Should we then hold Allah and His messengers in the same rank? Not at all .But we must believe in all messengers from Allah and that they all received basically the same message from Allah (41:43). Argument 2: Verse 4:150 makes it clear that all the verses that says “make no distinction among the messengers” gives the one and only meaning which is, believing in some messengers and disbelieving in some other messengers even though they were all came with basically one message. But Rashad came with a new argument saying if we witness Muhammadur RasulAllah (Muhammad (PBUH) is a messenger) then it means we are making distinction among the messengers. Now we have a question for everyone believes in Rashad and that is, when you believe in Muhammad whether you believe in all the other messengers or by believing in Muhammad you reject some of the messengers? In other words whether you started believing in all the other messengers after believing in Muhammad as a messenger of GOD or before you believed in Muhammad as a messemger of GOD? Argument 3: Is there is any guidelines in Quran that says if you bear witness that Muhammad is a messenger then it indirectly means that you make distinctions among the messengers. Is there is any command in Quran that stops you from bearing witness that Muhammad is a messenger of GOD? Or is there is any command in Quran that stops you from bearing witness for any of the truth that you know? Where did you get your proof from Quran that you can believe in something but you should not bear witness for the same? Kindly see the following verse which will confirm that you should bear witness for the one whom you find as a true messenger… [3:86] Why should GOD guide people who disbelieved after believing, and after witnessing that the messenger is truth, and after solid proofs have been given to them? GOD does not guide the wicked. Argument 4: How can we treat the messengers whose names are not mentioned in the Quran equal to Moses whose name is mentioned more times next to Allah? Could anyone possibly treat a person whom he never knew same like a person whom he knows very well? Allah’s religion is full of logics and very simple to follow but Rashad’s misinterpretations are illogical and impossible to follow. Please see the following verse… [4:164] Messengers we have told you about, and messengers we never told you about. And GOD spoke to Moses directly. Argument 5: Similarly verses 2:136,285 and 3:84 indicate that we should believe in all messengers since that they basically received the same message. See “What is said to you is precisely what was said to previous messengers” (41:43). Believing in all the messengers and treating them without partiality is possible only by understanding that they were all sent by Allah with the same basic principle which is “worship only your Lord”. We cannot possibly hold all of them in the same rank, because Allah Himself Has blessed some of them above others (2:253). Allah has also preferred some prophets above others (17:55). Argument 6: In fact ,Allah together with Angels do send blessings (the meaning given by Rashad as help instead of blessings is nowhere near the actual meaning) on believers(33:43) to lead them from darkness to light. The believers invoke peace upon Allah’s chosen servants (27:59) and on Allah’s messengers (37:181).They are also directed to invoke blessings on Prophet Muhammad (33:56) who is dearer to them than their own selves (33:6) and anything else they have (9:24). There is a good example, for those who place their hopes in Allah and hereafter and who remember Allah so much, in the prophet (33:21). Please remember that Rashad Khalifa has given the meaning “encouragement” in (9:103) “and contact prayers in” (17:110) for the same Arabic word which actually means prayers. UNLETTERED PROPHET Rashad Khalifa explains that according to (25:5) Muhammad wrote God’s revelations with his own hand and his contemporaries knew that he was a literate man who could read and write. Let us analyze the verses 25:4, 5 and 29:48. 25:4-Those who disbelieved said this is a fabrication he produced, with the help of some other people. They have uttered a blasphemy and falsehood. 25:5They (Disbelievers) also said,”Tales from the past that he wrote down; they were dictated to him day & night”. 29:48”You did not read the previous scriptures (from any book) before this, nor did you write them with your hand, in that case, the rejecters would have had reason to harbor doubts” When the author says “Quran tells us that Muhammad wrote down the Quran”, Endorsing the comments of the disbelievers; the following points are to be noted. 1) It is not Quran but the unbelievers, who said “Tales from the past he wrote down; they were dictated to him day and night” (25:5) 2) Why should the author use the word contemporaries instead of “They” (the unbelievers cited in 25:4), misleading the innocent readers. 3) Allah clarify that the utterance of the unbelievers “this is a fabrication he produces with the help of some other people” is blasphemy and falsehood (25:4) 4) Does not the word “they” in 25:5refer to the unbelievers cited in 25:4 whose utterances are blasphemy and falsehood. The author is therefore endorsing the statement of the unbelievers whose utterances are ignored as blasphemy and falsehood by Allah. 5) Do verse 29:48(you did not read previous scriptures, nor did you write them with your hand); indicate that the prophet had read from and written down books other than previous scriptures? 6) Doesn’t the statement in 29:48 “in that case the rejecters would have had reason to harbor doubts” indicate that the prophet didn’t know how to read and write? END OF THE WORLD Rashad Khalifa admits that messengers are powerless and they do not know the future (7:188). Does Rashad Khalifa identified in (72:1-28) belong to the class of powerless messengers who do not know the future? or Is he a powerful messenger to whom the future is released? What is the miracle of manipulating the geometrical value of “Rashada” for “Rashad”? Number of manipulations with the intention of bringing in “19”into Quranic verses, using the various number systems and selected methods and sub methods are endless. Allah has kept the knowledge of the hour almost hidden in order that each soul (believer and non-believer) be paid its wok (20:15). Is it not almost hidden from Rashad .Khalifa’s followers also? Verse (16:77) cites that, to Allah belong the unseen (Future) of the heavens and earth. The matter of the hour or the decision of the hour is but as a twinkling of the eye or it is still nearer. Why should Rashad Khalifa add into Quran the phrase “As far as He is concerned”? Is he not trying to read his own meanings in to Quran? Is it not because AD 2280 is not a blink of an eye away from now, that he is forced to do so? Do not the verses (33:63 &42:17) indicate that perhaps the hour may be very close or a blink of an eye away; for all that the people know? LIFE ONLY ON EARTH For the same word “dhabbath” the author gives meaning like living creature (24:45), animals (45:4), computer (27:82) etc. He explains that there is life only on this planet earth (41: 9, 10). But Quran teaches that Allah has spread out (scattered) living creatures both in the heavens and the earth (42:29). Shall we then regard the one whose explanations contradict with Allah’s statements, as a messenger? In about 18 verses the word used “dhabbath” refer to living beings. Why the same word “creature “used in verse (27:82) should be explained as computer? Didn’t the radio made from earthly material speak to mankind much earlier? MARKING THE HANDS OF THIEVES Verse (5:38) command us to cut off the hands of thieves as punishment by way of example from Allah. How could the marking cited in verse (12:31) be an example from Allah. Compare the meaning given to the same word ”khataoo” in other verses like 2:27,6:45,94,7:72,124,160,168,13:25,31,20:71,21:93,22:15,23:53,26:49,47:15,59:5 etc., where the meaning given is cut, chop, sever, tear, divide, scatter, annihilate etc… How could marking the hand be an exemplary punishment? SYMBOLIC LASHES When Allah says… [24:1-2] A sura that we have sent down, and we have decreed as law. We have revealed in it clear revelations, that you may take heed. The adulteress and the adulterer you shall whip each of them a hundred lashes. Do not be swayed by pity from carrying out GOD’s law, if you truly believe in GOD and the Last Day. And let a group of believers witness their penalty. Rashad says… Social pressure, i.e., public witnessing of the penalty, is the basic punishment. The lashes shall be symbolic, not severe. When we resort to symbolic lashes we are swayed from carrying out Allah’s law of whipping, because of pity or compassion. Remember that, Allah Has alerted us not to be swayed away from whipping 100 lashes in public because of pity and compassion. In-order for us to take heed Allah has revealed the law in clear revelations (24:01). Is that the age below 40 is an eligibility to enter heaven! Based on 29:53 and 46:15 Rashad prophesize that whoever dies before the age of forty will go direct to heaven. Before analyzing the above two verses wrongly misinterpreted/quoted by Rashad Khalifa let us view few verses to see on what basis our heavenly life is decided… [3:25] How will it be for them, when we summon them on that inevitable day? Each soul will be paid for whatever it earned, without the least injustice. [3:161] Even the prophet cannot take more of the spoils of war than he is entitled to. Anyone who takes more than his rightful share will have to account for it on the Day of Resurrection. That is when each soul is paid for whatever it earned, without the least injustice. [4:18]Not acceptable is the repentance of those who commit sins until death comes to them, then say, “Now I repent.” Nor is it acceptable from those who die as disbelievers. For these, we have prepared a painful retribution. 4:48] GOD does not forgive idolatry,* but He forgives lesser offenses for whomever He wills. Anyone who sets up idols beside GOD, has forged a horrendous offense. [4:93] Anyone who kills a believer on purpose, his retribution is Hell, wherein he abides forever, GOD is angry with him, and condemns him, and has prepared for him a terrible retribution. [4:116] GOD does not forgive idol worship (if maintained until death),* and He forgives lesser offenses for whomever He wills. Anyone who idolizes any idol beside GOD has strayed far astray. [14:51]For GOD will pay each soul for whatever it earned; GOD is the most efficient reckoner. 28:83-84 We reserves the abode of the Hereafter for those who do not seek exaltation on earth, nor corruption. The ultimate victory belongs to the righteous. Whoever works righteousness receives a far better reward. As for those who commit sins, the retribution for their sins is precisely equivalent to their works. [45:22] GOD created the heavens and the earth for a specific purpose, in order to pay each soul for whatever it earned, without the least injustice. [99:7,8] Whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it and whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it. The above verses confirms that our destination is decided only based on our belief and our works. The following verses confirm that the punishment for those who disbelieve or lead culprit life will not be even commuted… [2:86] It is they who bought this lowly life at the expense of the Hereafter. Consequently, the retribution is never commuted for them, nor can they be helped. [2:162] Eternally they abide therein. The retribution is never commuted for them, nor are they reprieved. [3:88] Eternally they abide therein; the retribution is never commuted for them, nor will they be reprieved. [16:85] Once those who transgressed see the retribution, it will be too late; it will not be commuted for them, nor will they be respited. [35:36] As for those who disbelieve, they have incurred the fire of Hell, where they are never finished by death, nor is the retribution ever commuted for them. We thus requite the unappreciative. [43:75] Never will the retribution be commuted for them; they will be confined therein. But ignoring all the Quranic proofs Rashad wrongly judge that based on 29:53 and 46:15 whoever dies before the age of forty will go direct to heaven. First let us discuss about verse 29:53… 29:53 They challenge you to bring the retribution! If it were not for a predetermined appointment, the retribution would have come to them immediately. Certainly, it will come to them suddenly, when they least expect it. Rashad explains that the above verse means anybody cannot die in whichever age they prefers since Allah decides life and death for some he finishes the life after forty and others before forty in order to enable them to go straight to heaven. He also added that verse no. 46:15 as an additional proof for this argument. Our proofs to show Rashad’s incorrect interpretation are as follows… [28:85] Surely, the One who decreed the Quran for you will summon you to a predetermined appointment. Say, “My Lord is fully aware of those who uphold the guidance, and those who have gone astray.” [56:50] “Will be summoned to a meeting on a predetermined day. The above two verses will confirm that the reason why communities were not destroyed instantly for their disbelief or misbehavior and instead they have been given message and time, in order to decide, is because Allah has already decided that every community should be given sufficient time to decide and respond based on which they will be judged on the day of resurrection. As per Quran it is no way related to an individual’s death before forty and a free pass to heaven. Let us discuss about 46:15… Rashad followers simply see the verses 46:15, 46:16 and coming to wrong conclusions. Let us see the related verses from 46:15-20… [46:15]We enjoined the human being to honor his parents. His mother bore him arduously, gave birth to him arduously, and took intimate care of him for thirty months. When he reaches maturity, and reaches the age of forty,* he should say, “My Lord, direct me to appreciate the blessings you have bestowed upon me and upon my parents, and to do the righteous works that please you. Let my children be righteous as well. I have repented to you; I am a submitter.” 46:16] It is from these that we accept the righteous works, and overlook their sins. They have deserved Paradise. This is the truthful promise that is promised to them. [46:17] Then there is the one who says to his parents, “Woe to you; are you telling me that (after death) I will come back to life? How come those who died before us never come back?” The parents would cry for GOD’s help and say, “Woe to you; please believe! GOD’s promise is the truth.” He would say, “Tales from the past!” [46:18] Such are the ones stamped as disbelievers among every generation of jinns and humans; they are losers. 46:19] They all attain the ranks they have deserved, in accordance with their works. He will pay them for their works, without the least injustice. [46:20] The day will come when those who disbelieved will be introduced to the hellfire: “You have wasted the good chances given to you during your worldly life, and you rejoiced in them. Consequently, today you incur a shameful retribution as requital for the arrogance you committed on earth without any basis, and for your evil works.” When we keenly see the verse 46:15, 16 we can understand that it relates ourselves with our parents and our children, during the age of forty human can realize the hardship of bringing up our children as righteous and we recognize the sacrifice of our parents in a more practical manner, as soon as we realize this fact we have to provide more honor to our parents and pray for them and we should submit to God’s commandment of honoring the parents. In Quran we can see that different people gets this maturity of honoring their parents in different ages, in the case of Ismail when he was very young he respected his father, obeyed him and submitted to God (3:102-103). Yahiya honored his parents when he was very young (19:12-14). Jesus honored his mother when he was a child (19:24&32). In order to find the Quran-proof that maturity comes in different ages compared from one person to another kindly see the following verse… [4:6]You shall test the orphans when they reach puberty. As soon as you find them mature enough, give them their property. Do not consume it extravagantly in a hurry, before they grow up. The rich guardian shall not charge any wage, but the poor guardian may charge equitably. When you give them their properties, you shall have witnesses. GOD suffices as reckoner. The above verse doesn’t say wait until they reach forty and gave their property instead it says once they reach puberty we have to check whether they are mature enough, if so we have to handover their property as soon as possible. As per 4:6 maturity take place between 12-16 approximately. One thing we have to mind that 46:15, 16 says that for a righteous person God accept his righteous works and forgive his sins and nowhere it says God will forgive even the culprits since they are below forty years. Apart from the verses 46:15, 16 the consecutive two verses(46:17-18) talks about one who disbelieve in hereafter and dishonor his parents as disbelievers and losers. The highlight is verses 46:19, 20 repeatedly three times confirms that both the first group (46:15, 16), and the second group (46:17-18) will attains their ranks and rewards only based on their works and not based on their ages. If still somebody is going to stick with the number ‘40’ then it is similar to take the following verse (9:80) and arguing that if prophet Muhammad has prayed for 71 times then God might forgive the hypocrites. [9:80]Whether you ask forgiveness for them, or do not ask forgiveness for them―even if you ask forgiveness for them seventy times―GOD will not forgive them. This is because they disbelieve in GOD and His messenger. GOD does not guide the wicked people. PROPHET ABRAHAM’S VISION (dream) Rashad says Abraham tried to kill his son (Ismail) by believing a satanic dream and God saved Ismail’s live by preventing Abraham from human murder. Verses 37:102&104 are the proofs given by Rashad to support his argument. Some of the bad styles of Rashad are taking one or two verses here and there from Quran without any context or continuity and providing a lot of misinterpretations, or doing wrong translation for Quran-words which contradicts his own translations in many parts. The best examples are his translation for verse-17:46… 1) Why should he give the meaning “using Quran” instead of “in the Quran”, which is the actual meaning of the Arabic word “FIL QURANI” 2) In 48:27 for the Arabic word “ruʾyā” which means vision or dream, with bad intention Rashad has translated it as “truthful vision” in order to misinterpret the meaning of the verses 37:105 where the same word (ruʾyā) comes. 3) For the very similar words like sadaka(Allah has fulfilled) second word of 48:27 and sadakata(you have fulfilled) second word of 37:105, Rashad translate them in two different ways. Actually both means fulfilled, but he intentionally translate sadakata-the second word of 37:105 as ‘you have believed’ in order to distort the meaning of Quran. 4) Rashad identifies himself as Allah in 36:83. In what way does the verse, become relevant to Rashad Khalifa, when it speaks only about Allah? Now let us discuss about Abraham’s vision. After reading the whole verses from 37:100-111) let us conclude what it exactly says… [37:100] “My Lord, grant me righteous children.” [37:101] We gave him good news of a good child. [37:102] When he grew enough to work with him, he said, “My son, I see in a dream that I am sacrificing you. What do you think?” He said, “O my father, do what you are commanded to do. You will find me, GOD willing, patient.” [37:103] They both submitted, and he put his forehead down (to sacrifice him). [37:104] We called him: “O Abraham. [37:105] “You have believed the dream.” We thus reward the righteous. 37:106] “That was an exacting test indeed. 37:107] “We ransomed (Ismail) by substituting an animal sacrifice. [37:108] “And we preserved his history for subsequent generations. [37:109] Peace be upon Abraham. [37:110] we thus reward the righteous. [37:111] He is one of our believing servants. 1) In 37:102 When Abraham asked Ismail’s opinion (who was a Messenger and a prophet 19:54) about the dream, Ismail’s statement is to follow the command not the dream, which clarifies that attempting to sacrifice was a command as well as test for Abraham. 2) In 37:101 Allah says Ismail was a good son (who was young but well grown 37:102), whether a good son will allow his father to become a murderer? 3) 37:103 says both Abraham and Ismail have submitted to God by attempting and co-operating for the sacrifice. 4) 37:105&110 says since Abraham believed in what he saw in the dream, he has been rewarded. 5) In the same context 37:111 says Abraham is one who believed in God (Note: Not in Satan) Prophet Abraham had fulfilled his vision and was appreciated by Allah (37: 105) and Allah had rewarded him (37:107). Was it for fulfilling what the Satan advocated that Prophet Abraham was appreciated and rewarded? Was it the Satan’s command that the son conceded and patiently submitted to be executed? Now we come to the highlight point of this argument and that is, the only mistake committed by Abraham as per Allah and according to his scripture is mentioned in verse 60:04 which is Abraham’s prayer for his father. If Abraham might believed in satanic dream and tried to murder his son then for no doubt the almighty Allah who doesn’t forget anything might mentioned that in verse 60:04. It is noteworthy that Allah has mentioned about Abraham’s mistake in the same verse where he says Abraham is a good example… 26:84-86 “Let the example I set for the future generations be a good one. Make me one of the inheritors of the blissful Paradise. And forgive my father, for he has gone astray. [60:4] “A good example has been set for you by Abraham and those with him. They said to their people, “We disown you and the idols that you worship besides GOD. We denounce you, and you will see nothing from us except animosity and hatred until you believe in GOD ALONE.” However, a mistake was committed by Abraham when he said to his father, “I will pray for your forgiveness, but I possess no power to protect you from GOD.” “Our Lord, we trust in you, and submit to you; to you is the final destiny. Conclusion about Abraham's Dream: [37:108] and we preserved his history for subsequent generations. In the same context, Allah has mentioned that He preserve Abraham’s history for the future generation. So which history is saved by Allah, whether Abraham has followed Satan or whether Abraham was ready to sacrifice even his only son who born in his old age for the sake and command of Allah? It is obvious that the human sacrifice which was so common during those days has been decided by Allah to wipe it out without trace with the good example of Abraham’s sacrifice of an animal. It is noteworthy that nowhere in this context Allah says about Satan. So it is proven that not Abraham but Rashad has followed some satanic dream and tried to rewrite the meaning of Quran and the pages of history. Turn the pages of Quran and find the dreams of prophets, you can understand that those dreams served as a type of inspiration from Allah to them, it served as a guidance for them from Allah and prophets were given the best knowledge of understanding the dreams. You can see the verses 48:27&28 to understand this concept about prophets’ dreams. FAT OF PIG If the use of lard is permitted because it is used in baking goods in many countries (16:115), appendix 16, the pig meat eaten by ever so many people in almost all countries would also have been permitted. Is the use of fat from dead animals also permitted? The use of lard has diminished in contemporary cuisine because of health concerns posed by its saturated contents. Many restaurants in western nations have eliminated the use of lard in their kitchens because of health and religious related dietary restrictions (Ref: food and wine .com) MIND SETS, PROOFS AND FAITH Verses (51:20, 21) -The earth is full of signs for those who are certain. And within yourselves .will you not see? Verse (34:6)-Those who are given knowledge see that the revelations sent down to the prophet from his Lord is the truth and it guides to the path of the Almighty, worthy of all praise. Verse (29:49-) In fact, these proofs (revelations) are clear in the hearts of those who are given knowledge Verse (3:7) – Those who are well founded in knowledge will say “we believe in this –all of it comes from God”. which means, they will believe that all of Quran comes from Allah and will not put forward ever so many manipulations to remove verses from Quran. Verses 22:53, 54 says Allah has put up the devils scheme as a test for the doubtful and that those who are given knowledge will recognize the truth from their Lord and then believe in and accept it. . Verse (12:105)- So many proofs in the heavens and the earth are given to them, but they pass by them, heedlessly. Verse (41:53) we will show them our proofs in the horizon and within themselves, until they realize that this is the truth. Ever so many proofs in the heaven, earth and in ourselves (not the common code 19) will be made clear to and recognized by those who are given knowledge by Allah. Allah will change our mindsets according to our deeds. He will inspire the angels to support the believers and direct them (the angels) to strike above the neck of the unbelievers, striking their finger tips off them (8:12). compare the mindsets of believers and non-believers in (48:26) also. Allah will send down tranquility into the hearts of believers to augment faith upon their faith (48:4) .This is the consequence of our own works and Allah is never unjust towards us (3:182). See the mindsets of Pharaoh and the magicians when the staff thrown by Moses swallowed what the magicians fabricated. While Pharaoh thought that Moses was the teacher who taught them magic (26:49); the magicians believed in the Lord of Moses and Aaron (26:48) ignoring the threat of being crucified (26:49). Ever so many proofs/signs in the heavens, Horizon, earth and in oneself cannot make one a believer unless he earns and deserves it by leading a compassionate and righteous life holding fast to truth and justice. See the nine miracles to Pharaoh’s people-one bigger than that before it (43:48) and the miracles cited in (13:31) Below are cited a few verses in Quran, that if judged by the common code19 will call for adverse criticism on Rashad Khalifa’s claims. 1) 41:40. “Surely, those who distort our revelations are not hidden from us. Is one who gets thrown into Hell better, or one who comes secure on the day of Resurrection?. Do whatever you wish; He is seer of everything you do. The geometrical value of Rashad khalifa (1230) plus Verse no: 40, plus sura no: 41 = 1311=19*69. 2) 2:79. Therefore, woe to those who distort the scripture with their own hands, then say, ‘this is what God has revealed’, seeking a cheap material gain. Woe to them for such distortion , and woe to them for their illicit gain. Verse no: 79 plus sura no: 2 plus 1230=1311=19*69. 3) 7:176. Had we willed, we could have elevated him (refer 7:175) therewith, but he insisted on sticking to the earth and pursued his own opinions. Thus he is like the dog; whether you pet him or scold him, he pants. Such is the example of those who reject our proofs. Narrate these narrations that they may reflect. Verse no: 176 plus 1230=1406=19*74. The above three verses do specifically refer to Rashad Khalifa , when judged by his own standards?. Any number of such verses identifying with Rashad kalifa but bearing witness against him can be cited in Quran. For ex: verses 2:98;36:64;47:34. It is up to the follower of R.K to still hold fast to Rashad Khalifa’s Explanations and no one has any right to question his or her faith, other than Almighty Allah. May Allah protect us from following the footsteps of Satan throwing away the proofs we have received from Allah (7:175). May Allah elevate us with His proof without making us cling to earth (and its worldly glitter)(7:176)and save us from following our vain desires. May Allah also shower his blessings on us(33:43),arouse us to do actions that may please Him(46:15)and lead us into ever increasing spiritual enlightenment to walk among men with God given light(6:122). May Allah forgive us our sins and remove the evil in us (3:193), improve the state of our soul (47:2) and finally unite us in His Paradise among the elite. With love and prayers.
