The Month of Paradise
Here it comes, the gracious guest of the year, knocking on the doors of time, after our longing to it and maybe, similarly, it's longing to us. It is here to sweep the burdens of our life from our souls and to spread faith and calmness in our hearts.
In the name of Allah, the entirely Merciful, the especially Merciful
All praise is due to Allah solely, and praise and peace upon whom no prophet is beyond
Here it comes, the gracious guest of the year, knocking on the doors of time, after our longing to it and maybe, similarly, it’s longing to us. It is here to sweep the burdens of our life from our souls and to spread faith and calmness in our hearts. It comes to expand and distribute everywhere - with its two soft hands - its touches of mercy and showers of forgiveness. It is here to pat on the trembling feared hearts, feared out of their sins’ consequences, and to erase the winds of disobedience from the universe replacing them with breezes from paradise. It arrives to implant in our souls the flowers of hope and comfort in a bright future, a future that is enlightened with the glow of pietism and wishful desire in the Merciful paradise. It is the guest of the year…It is Ramadan.
Ramadan is the month of scriptures. The light of faith in the hearts of believers, where “the scriptures of Ibrahim were sent in the first night of Ramadan, the Torah was sent down after six days (of Ramadan), the Gospel after thirteen days (of Ramadan), the Az-Zabur after eighteen days (of Ramadan) and the Qura’an after twenty four days of Ramadan” [Declared Hasan by Al Albany]
It is certainly the month of guidance, it is: “The month of Ramadan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur’an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion.” [Surah Al-Baqarah 2:185]
Transliteration: Shahru Ramađāna Al-Ladhī 'Unzila Fīhi Al-Qur'ānu Hudáan Lilnnāsi Wa Bayyinātin Mina Al-Hudá Wa Al-Furqāni
Ramadan is always accompanied with – in addition to the glorious Qur’an - a lot of basics for our revived hearts and bounty of methods for their guidance in order to protect them from all evil. So: “Whenever Ramadan arrives, the doors of mercy are opened” [Narrated by Abu Huraira and declared authentic by Al Albany]
The path between people and their obedience is paved and “the doors of heaven are opened and the doors of hell are tightly shut” [Narrated Al Bukhari]
Prevention will be placed between ones heart and whispers of satan, so whenever Ramadan comes rest assured, oh believers, that “satans are chained” [Narrated by Abu Huraira and declared authentic by Al Albany]
And be certain that “every rebellious satan is chained during it” [Declared Hasan by Al-Albani]
The best season for obedience is available in this month. It is found in a night, when the hearts of the humbles and the meek compete and race during this night wearing themselves out in prayers and praise, as this is the best night ever waited for by every believer: “A Night better than a thousand months, whoever is deprived of its welfare is disadvantaged” [Narrated by Abu Huraira and declared authentic by Al Albany]
“Whoever is deprived from it shall be dispossessed from all its good, and only the deprived will be expelled from its welfare» [Narrated Anas Ibn Malek and declared Hasan by Al Albany]
How could he be not deprived, whoever loses the welfare of this night, when “The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. (3) The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter. (4) Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.” [Al Qadr 97:3-5]
Transliteration: Laylatu Al-Qadri Khayrun Min 'Alfi Shahrin (3) Tanazzalu Al-Malā'ikatu Wa Ar-Rūĥu Fīhā Bi'idhni Rabbihim Min Kulli 'Amrin (4) Salāmun Hiya Ĥattá Maţlai Al-Fajri
Ramadan paves our path to paradise and guides us to its doors, protects us from the calamities and misfortunes of our way and then opens for us “Therein doors of heaven are opened and doors of hell are closed” [Narrated by Abu Huraira and declared authentic by Al Albany]
As a result thereof, the flocks of fair women sparkle in the eyes of the piety believers, and the latter rushes towards them. The most pleasing, during this month, is the sustaining hope in the believers’ hearts to see Allah, All Mighty. Don’t you like to see your Lord’s Face and feel the sublimity of His countenance reflecting on your skin, blessed and glorious All Mighty Face?!
«إن لله عتقاء في كل يوم وليلة»
[رواه ابو هريرة]
What do you think about this reward, is this better or winning the prizes of life?!
Can you imagine one day like a day in Ramadan, or one night like its nights?
During this month, you have a continuous relationship with your Lord, Blessed and Exalted. All what you have to do is to call Him, and he shall accept your repentance and shall accomplish your appeals. Oh fasting people and knower of the virtue of Ramadan “Every Muslim has an answered request every day and night” [Narrated Abu Said Al Khadry and declared authentic by Al Albany]
How wonderful, oh fasting people, when Ramadan crowns you with the most gorgeous blessings...
How precious would be the reward at the end of the month for whom who tended to obey their Lord...
It is the crown of forgiveness, which is the dream of every humble believer as well as the sinner. It is the greatest remit granted from Allah to His fasting slaves. "The five daily prayers, Friday to Friday, and Ramadan to Ramadan make atonement for what has happened in between, as long as the kaba’er (major sins) are avoided" [Narrated Muslim]
So, congratulations fasting people... Your sins are forgiven in the time of forgiveness... Your Lord the Exalted repents on you to the extent that He overflows his welfare and grace over you.
“Whoever fasts Ramadan out of sincere faith and hoping to attain Allah’s reward, then all his past sins will be forgiven” [Narrated Al Bukhari, Muslim, Ibn Al Arabi, Ibn Maga and An-Nessayi and declared authentic by Al Albany]
So, strive to win this grant, as it will be a great pity to anyone who wastes this opportunity and not to grasp it. It will be a huge loss to whoever tries to gain this prize and comes out empty handed, or turns his back to it as if he did not recognize it or even encountered it. I swear to God “he will be disgraced who enters Ramadan and this month is ended before he is forgiven” [Narrated Abu Huraira and declared authentic by Al Albany]
It is your choice… It is your test which result is hanged on the door to Ard Al-Mahshar (the land of assembly), and this result consists of only two outcomes: either believer or hypocrite… So, “No better month has come to the Muslims better than Ramadan, and no worst month has existed for the hypocrites than Ramadan. That is because the believers prepare themselves for great worships, and the hypocrites prepare themselves to hunt others’ sins and defects which is considered a prey for them. Hence, the believer is the capture of the wicked” [Narrated Ahmed]
Every person receives Ramadan in the way his soul imposes on him. Anyone who likes his desires hates this month because he hates anything that would prevent him from fulfilling his desires, so he sells the worship to Allah the Exalted in exchange for his desires, Allah forbids.
Ramadan is the month where one day of fasting equals an incompatible gain "Anyone who fasts one day for Allah’s pleasure, Allah will keep his face away from the fire of Hell by (a distance covered by a journey of) seventy years" [Narrated Muslim and Abou Said]
And anyone who breaks his fast one day without an excuse is a great loss for him «whoever breaks his fast one day in Ramadan without neither being ill nor with a valid excuse, then fasting his whole lifetime will not be sufficient in exchange to this day – that is if he is able to fast (his lifetime)» [Narrated Abu Huraira]
This is Ramadan, oh believer. It is not like any other month. It is the month of blessing, where you will be overwhelmed by Allah’s mercy, where your sins will be dropped and your praise will be fulfilled. Allah will observe your competing during this month and boasts you to His angels. So show Allah the best out of you - as the miserable ones will be deprived from Allah mercy – and raise your voice, with which you recited the verses of the holy Qur’an of Exalted Allah, and say «Oh seeker of good approach and seeker of evil restrain» [Narrated Abu Huraira and declared authentic by Al Albany]
So open the windows of your heart, oh believer, waiting for this month’s arrival and hurry to meet it, smell the breeze of paradise that is spread out of it. It is the month of paradise, so whoever desires its welfare let him approach.
Allah praise and peace upon Muhammed, His family and All His companions.
