Ten whispers for women

Since 2012-11-20

These words are forwarded to the granddaughters of Asmâ', the daughter of Abu Bakr, in their state of purity, chastity, and honor. They are for those who are walking on the path of Aisha and Hafsa (the wives of the Prophet), and Sumayyah (the first martyr in Islam), to the pure, pious, and chaste.

These words are forwarded to the conceited by the false adornment of the East and the West, to every woman who disobeyed her Lord and tore the garment of her chastity. They are for the woman who would be dressed but appear to be naked, who would be inclined (to evil) and make her husband (or other women) incline towards it. To the enchanted enchanting woman, I release this cry of admonition and warning.

The first whisper

O believing sister, O you who has been blessed by Allah with healthy body, and with the bliss of Islam. Thank Allah Almighty and Praise Him. Come close to Him. Obey Him. Obeying Allah includes the happiness of this worldly life and the Hereafter. Being close to him brings about the glory of the last (Hereafter) and the first (this worldly life). Allah Almighty has said, {And whosoever obeys Allâh and His Messenger, he has indeed achieved a great achievement (i.e. he will be saved from the Hell-fire and will be admitted to Paradise).} [Surat Al-Ahzâb: 71]

Transliteration: Wa Man Yuţi`i Allāha Wa Rasūlahu Faqad Fāza Fawzāan `Ažīmāan

The second whisper

Maintain your veil and chastity. The veil is purity, chastity, and honor. Allah Almighty has said, {O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks (veils) all over their bodies (i.e. screen themselves completely except the eyes or one eye to see the way). That will be better, that they should be known (as free respectable women) so as not to be annoyed.} [Surat Al-Ahzâb: 59]

Transliteration: Yā 'Ayyuhā An-Nabīyu Qul Li'zwājika Wa Banātika Wa Nisā'i Al-Mu'uminīna Yudnīna `Alayhinna Min Jalābībihinna Dhālika 'Adná 'An Yu`rafna Falā Yu'udhayna

Certainly, the veil is the adornment of the chaste pure woman. It is her sign. Why not? It is the evidence of her modesty and the mark of her purity. It is a protection for her from the devils among mankind and jinn. Therefore, be keen in observing your veil, as it is, may Allah have mercy on you, the secret to your happiness.

The third whisper

Beware of the callers for unveiling and for the wanton display of yourself. They wish you evil. Be a strong barrier against their ideas and a fortified castle against their desires. Certainly sister, they are being distressed by your modesty and chastity to the extent that they wanted to join the parade of the western promiscuous women. They need you to satisfy their lustrous desires and to accomplish their goals. Therefore, beware of them. Truly, I am one of the good advisers to you.

The fourth whisper

Protect your tongue from engaging in backbiting and calumny. They erase the good deeds, and eat the reward of the acts of obedience. Allah Almighty has said, {neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it (so hate backbiting).} [Surat Al-Hujurât: 12] Avoid the councils where such sins and acts of disobedience take place. Increase mentioning Allah and saying the remembrances. Read a lot of the Quran. These are means to be saved from such matters.

Transliteration: Wa Lā Yaghtab Ba`đukum Ba`đāan 'Ayuĥibbu 'Aĥadukum 'An Ya'kula Laĥma 'Akhīhi Maytāan Fakarihtumūhu

The fifth whisper

Be keen, may Allah protect you, in learning the matters of your religion and creed. I recommend you to read useful books and comprehensive commandments. They are found in the books of our scholars and callers for religion. Do not forget to attend the councils of remembrances and religious knowledge. They will help you to learn your religion. Remember the Hadith of the Messenger of Allah, prayers and peace of Allah be upon him, "He who treads a path in search of knowledge, Allah would make a path easy for him leading him to paradise, because of that path." [Reported by Muslim 2699]

«ومن سلك طريقًا يلتمس فيه علمًا، سهل الله له به طريقا إلىالجنَّة» رواه مسلم 2699

The sixth whisper

O believing woman, history is still narrating for us the stories of the great women who sacrificed their effort and time. They raised great men and heroes. They participated in preparing brilliant examples about which the whole world talk and history raised its hat for. It was said in the past, "behind every upbringing there is a great woman." Are you going to be one of those engraved her name in the wall of time? Will you paint your efforts in the board of history? This is achieved by bringing up a distinct generation, where you implant the love of his religion and his nation, a generation where you insert the spirit of redemption to produce the doctrine of sacrifice. So go ahead O sister, the effort will not be wasted, and the work will not be in vain. Allah Almighty has said, {And say (O Muhammad) "Do deeds! Allâh will see your deeds, and (so will) His Messenger and the believers.} [Surat At-Tawbah: 105]

Transliteration: Wa Quli A`malū Fasayará Allāhu `Amalakum Wa Rasūluhu Wa Al-Mu'uminūna

The seventh whisper

O noble one, be keen in performing a lot of optional acts of worship. Continue on spending in charity. Be among the hasteners to a Paradise as wide as the heavens and the earth. Almighty has said, {Race with one another in hastening towards forgiveness from your Lord (Allâh).} [Surat Al-Hadîd: 21]

Transliteration: Sābiqū 'Ilá Maghfiratin Min Rabbikum

and {and for this let (all) those strive who want to strive (i.e. hasten earnestly to the obedience of Allah).} [Surat Al-Mutafiffîn: 26]

Transliteration: Wa Fī Dhālika Falyatanāfasi Al-Mutanāfisūna

Go ahead sister. It is a long way, therefore, take the provision of faith, and arm yourself with obedience. The Promise is Paradise.

The eighth whisper

O virtuous one, have you heard the story of Umm Salih? She is an old woman who heard about the virtue of calling to Allah Almighty and its great reward. Therefore, she, along with her sons, went to a village to teach women, guide them, and giving them advice. What a generous woman! Where are the women who take her as an example?
Allah Almighty has said, {Let there arise out of you a group of people inviting to all that is good (Islâm), enjoining Al-Ma‘rûf (i.e. Islâmic Monotheism and all that Islâm orders one to do) and forbidding Al-Munkar (polytheism and disbelief and all that Islâm has forbidden). And it is they who are the successful.} [Surat Al-Imrân: 104] will you follow this grand Divine call? I hope so.

Transliteration: Wa Ltakun Minkum 'Ummatun Yad`ūna 'Ilá Al-Khayri Wa Ya'murūna Bil-Ma`rūfi Wa Yanhawna `Ani Al-Munkari

The ninth whisper

O believer, there are a lot of women who yearn for someone to share their worries, grieves and pains. They need the righteous people like you. So, may Allah protect you, hasten and get closer to your fellow sisters. Support then in obeying Allah. Rather, be their guide to good and success. You are worthy of this, Allah willing. Remember the words of the Messenger of Allah, prayers and peace of Allah be upon him, "By Allah, if Allah gives guidance to a single man through you, it is better for you than possessing red camels." [Reported by al-Bukhari and Muslim]

«فوالله لأن يهدي الله بك رجلًا واحدًا، خيرٌ لك من أن يكون لكحمر النّعم» متفق عليه

The tenth whisper

I recommend you to read the history of the righteous ancestor women of Islam. They are the women who have set a great righteous example, a rare role model, and a unique type. Certainly, the history of such great woman has numerous lessons. But for the limited writing space, I would have mentioned bright brilliant examples of their news and stories. However, the biography books include many subjects concerning the history of these women.
