The Breeze of Ramadan

Since 2016-05-24

A beautiful reminder and a glaring advice of the value of Ramadan, every Muslim has to make full advantage to welcome this great blessing and this great opportunity.

Imagine it has been a year since you saw a beloved one, and the time had come for him to arrive. How would you be feeling then? How would you welcome him?
Words can not describe what you will do for them, you might take months and days to prepare for that special moment. You feel lucky and blessed that you had another chance to see him again.

Well imagine now that a beloved one is Ramadan, yes the month you had waited a whole year to see and live its blessing again. Allah the Almighty has given you, yes you, another chance to prepare and welcome such a blessed month.

Prophet Yaqub (Prayer and Peace of Allah be upon Him) felt the fragrance of Prophet Yusuf (Prayer and Peace of Allah be upon Him) miles and miles away he said:

{وَلَمَّا فَصَلَتِ الْعِيرُ قَالَ أَبُوهُمْ إِنِّي لَأَجِدُ رِيحَ يُوسُفَ لَوْلاَ أَن تُفَنِّدُونِ }

Interpretation of the Meaning:"Indeed I smell the fragrance of Joseph. If you do not think me weakened in mind" [Yusuf :94].

Subhan-Allah, Prophet Yaqub (Prayer and Peace of Allah be upon Him) smelled his son's fragrance in Egypt when Prophet Yusuf (Prayer and Peace of Allah be upon Him) was in Palestine , it is the love that moved him.
How about you, have you felt Ramadan's breeze yet? Or have your sins blocked your way, denying you that cool breeze?

Haven't you felt the breeze of Taraweeh?! Where the lovers stand in front of their Lord, not minding the long Prayers.

Haven't you tasted the sweetness of reading the Holy Qur'an, where one can't have enough of reading the words of Allah the Allmighty).

Didn't you yearn for the breeze of Laylat al-Qadr (Decree) a night equivalent to 83 years of Worship?!

If your answers were yes to the pervious questions, let me ask you again how will you welcome Ramadan?!

Half of the month of Shabaan has gone telling you that your beloved month is about to enter. Its welcoming is not only by cleaning the house and cooking various dishes. Its welcoming is preparing well to increase the Emaan (Faith) inside your heart so you can taste the sweetness of the Worship during this blessed month where Allah the Allmighty mentioned in the  Holy Qur'an:

Interpretaion of the Meaning: " [Fasting for] a limited number of days. So whoever among you is ill or on a journey [during them] - then an equal number of days [are to be made up]. And upon those who are able [to fast, but with hardship] - a ransom [as substitute] of feeding a poor person [each day]. And whoever volunteers excess - it is better for him. But to fast is best for you, if you only knew" [al-Baqarah:184].

Days that are counted and will finish before you notice, so start preparing now if you haven't done the preparation from Rajab where it has being said: "Plant your seeds in Rajab, watering them in Shaaban so that you may harvest the fruit of your worship in Ramadan", if you didn't prepare before, start now you still have days where you can do Tawbah (Repentance), lots of Istighfar(Asking Allah the Almighty for forgiveness) and read as much as you can the Holy Qur'an.

I ask Allah the Allmighty to bless us with what has been left of Shabaan, make us reach Ramadan, accept our Fasting and Prayers, Ameen.
