First Khutbah
All praise is due to Allaah Who granted might to His slaves through
His religion and promised them victory. Also, He warned the
oppressors of an evil end. May His blessings and peace be upon
Muhammad, the leader of the guided and the model for the grateful.
I testify that there is no deity except Allah, with Whom there is
no associate. I testify that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger
who established His religion. He left absolutely no excuse to
anyone because he conveyed Allaah's message as clearly as daylight.
May the blessings and peace of Allaah also be upon his righteous
household, his companions and all those who follow in his footsteps
until the Day of Judgment.
Slaves of Allaah! I advise all of you and myself to be fearful and
conscious of Allaah. I also warn you all and myself against
disobeying His commands. Allaah says that which translates to:
"Whoever does righteousness, it is for his (own) soul; and whoever
does evil (does so) against it. And your Lord is not ever unjust to
(His) servants." [Fussilat 41: 46]

Allaah the All Mighty says that which translates to: "Indeed,
Pharaoh exalted himself in the land and made its people into
factions, oppressing a sector among them, slaughtering their sons
and keeping their women alive. Indeed he was one of the corruptors.
And we wanted to confer favor upon those who were oppressed in the
land and make them leaders and make them inheritors." [Al-Qasas
28:4-5]

O Muslims! O you who are protecting Jerusalem and its surroundings!
These short verses describe the two very different paths that one
may take in life.
The first path is that of the oppressors, transgressors and those
that spread corruption and mischief on earth. This was exemplified
by the oppressive ruler who thought that he had the ultimate power
and control - and forgot that he would face the certain destiny
(death) just like all other humans.
The second path is of the oppressed who are in no position to
resist and confront tyranny and oppression. Nevertheless, they rely
on the power of Allaah because they firmly believe that He supports
His slaves and the oppressed. He is The Supporter of the Muslims
who have neither power nor strength, but they depend on Him and are
not terrified by the power of the oppressors. This is because they
are certain that Allaah supports the believers, and that the
disbelievers have nothing to support them.
O Muslims! O brothers in faith everywhere! Thus do these verses
clarify the nature of the struggle between truth and falsehood,
belief and disbelief, good and evil and justice and injustice? They
also illuminate the characteristics of the battle between the
materialistic power with its oppression and aggression and the
nation which holds on firmly to its religion, principles and its
right to convey its belief in order to eradicate the oppression of
mankind, whom Allaah honoured over all other creatures. Allaah says
that which translates to: "And we have certainly honoured the
children of Adam and carried them on the land and sea and provided
for them of the good things and preferred them over much of what We
have created, with (definite) preference" [Al-Israa'17: 70]

Khalaqnā Tafđīlāan
O Muslims! The Pharaohic phenomenon with all its misguidance,
oppression, evil and slighting and belittling the truth and its
people is a recurring phenomenon throughout history. It is the same
phenomenon that insisted on its enmity against the message of
Islaam which was brought by the best of all creatures, Prophet
Muhammad sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam. He was sent to deliver
people out of darkness and misguidance, to the guidance and light
of Islaam. He came to save people from enslavement to other human
beings, to being slaves of the Lord of all creatures.
The one who observes the life of the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa
sallam realizes the struggle he went through, the oppression he
suffered and the steadfastness he and his companions had for the
sake of this religion. The unjust siege in Shi'b Bani Taalib (an
area in Makkah), which the disbelievers of Makkah enforced against
the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam and his companions,
forced them to eat grass and leaves. They were under siege only
because they refused to give up their faith and were steadfast on
what they believed in. This level of commitment and faith made them
worthy of the support of Allaah, He granted them might, gave them
power and authority and established the Islamic state for them.
From this they were able to spread justice and mercy throughout
mankind.
O Muslims! The present pharaohic phenomenon with its oppression
persecutes the believers and dominates the affairs of weak nations.
Oppressive countries headed by the United States of America are
leading a hideous colonization campaign through political, economic
and military means. They form different coalitions under various
slogans, such as 'Fighting International Terrorism'. The present
coalition that includes many countries from all over the world,
including Arab and Muslim countries was actually formed to fight
Islaam. These countries are violating human rights and
international treaties, although they claim to be upholding and
defending them.
O Muslims! We must unite our ranks to face this oppressive campaign
that seeks to colonize the Muslims, our countries, cultures and
principles. We must intensify our efforts to protect our nation. If
we continue to be weak then we will not be able to face this
oppressive materialistic power which has outlined the nature of the
current phase of its campaign.
Second Khutbah
All praise is due to Allaah Who guided us to The Straight Path. May
the best peace and blessings be sent upon our Prophet who was sent
as mercy to mankind. May peace and blessings also be upon his
family, companions and all who follow his guidance until The Day of
Judgment.
O Muslims! Silence from the Arab countries accompanied and
facilitated the formation of this new international coalition.
Meanwhile, the Israeli aggression against our Palestinian nation
continues. This is an unsuccessful attempt to eradicate our
identity, stop our resistance and force us to waive our legal
rights.
This is a pure and sacred land. Allah blessed our ancestors, this
generation and our successors to be among those who are its
inhabitants and protectors of Al-Aqsaa. Allaah blessed it and its
surroundings. It was the location for the incident of Israa' and
Mi'raaj which is a part of every Muslims belief. It was the first
Qiblah and was built second after the Haram in Makkah. Presently,
Al-Aqsaa is suffering a siege imposed on it and Jerusalem, through
which people of the West Bank and Ghazzah are forbidden from
visiting it or even coming close to it.
All these attempts are to prevent the Muslims from performing
Salaah in Al Aqsaa, and replace it with what they claim is the
'Temple of Solomon'.
Our nation which is protecting Al-Aqsaa will continue the struggle
despite the siege, killing and imprisonment. Even though they are
facing Israeli tanks and armored vehicles which invade their
villages and cities in order to terrify them, our nation will
continue to protect its sacred places and remain steadfast -
regardless of the level of sacrifice required of them to do
so.
O Muslims! Let us continue to persist in facing this enemy. Victory
is coming soon, and ease comes after hardship.
