Revival of Sunnah - #7 Making amends between people

Since 2014-10-02

The Sunnah of making amends between people

The messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: «Shall I not inform you of what is more virtuous than the rank of fasting, Salat, and charity?». They said: "But of course!" He said: «Making amends between each other. For indeed spoiling relations with each other is the Haliqah» (Al-Tirmithi).

No matter how much we try to explain the greatness of this deed in Allah’s scale, we will never be able to. The Prophet (ﷺ) put this deed above fasting, prayer and sadaqa! We can apply this Sunnah by making amends between a wife and her husband, a father and his son, between brothers, colleagues, neighbours, or even two strangers who have an argument in the street. Making these amends is what really protects our deen, while spoiling relationships ruins it. So today you have to try to make amends between two people.

And do not forget our slogan:

{وَإِنْ تُطِيعُوهُ تَهْتَدُوا }

Translation: {And if you obey him, you will be (rightly) guided} [An-Nur:54].
