Since 2012-11-22

We thank God who made fasting Ramadan compulsory, opened to us the doors of heaven during it and locked the doors of hell. Prayers and peace be upon our chosen prophet and his family and company till the Day of Judgment.

We thank God who made fasting Ramadan compulsory, opened to us the doors of heaven during it and locked the doors of hell. Prayers and peace be upon our chosen prophet and his family and company till the Day of Judgment.

And so...

Here are some of the sound ‘hadith’ about the reward of fasting in general, the reward of fasting Ramadan and its night prayer and the righteous deeds in it. May our exalted God make us of His manumitted in that glorious month, to forgive and have mercy upon us and include us with His generosity.

Our exalted God said: “…the fasting men and fasting women, the men who guard their private parts and the women who do so, and the men who remember Allah often and the women who do so – for them Allah has prepared forgiveness and a great reward.” [Al Ahzab 33:35]

Transliteration: Wa Aş-Şā'imīna Wa Aş-Şā'imāti Wa Al-Ĥāfižīna Furūjahum Wa Al-Ĥāfižāti Wa Adh-Dhākirīna Allāha Kathīrāan Wa Adh-Dhākirāti 'Aadda Allāhu Lahum Maghfiratan Wa 'Ajrāan Ažīmāan

And also said; “[They will be told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you put forth in the days past.” [AL Haqqa: 24]

[الحاقة: 24]

Transliteration: Kulū Wa Ashrabū Hanī'āan Bimā 'Aslaftum Fī Al-'Ayyāmi Al-Khāliyati

those are the days of fasting when they had forsaken food and drinks.

Aby Huraira said that: Allah’s messenger -peace and prayers be upon him-said: “every deed one does is for him except fasting that is for me and I reward for it.” Fasting is a shield, if it is the day one of you is fasting he shouldn’t be obscene or noisy .IF any one insulted him, he shall say: ‘I am fasting’. "I swear by That Being in whose possession is the life of Muhammad! The mouth's odor of a fasting person is more preferable to Allah the exalted than the fragrance of musk. Fasting person has two joys; when he has his breakfast he will satisfy his hanger and when he meets His God he will be happy that he performed fasting” [Declared authentic by Al-Albani]

[صححه الألباني]

In another narration he said, “Every deed one does is rewarded form ten times till seven hundred times and as much Allah wants. Allah says fasting is an exception; it is for me and I reward for it myself the one who forsakes his desires and food for me. Fasting person has two joys when he has his breakfast he will satisfy his hanger and when he meets His God he will be happy that he performed fasting” [Declared authentic by Al-Albani]

[صححه الألباني]

Muhammad -peace be upon him- said: "Fasting is a shield." Meaning that it keeps the fasting one from committing sins and misdeeds which lead to burning in hell.
And he said: (la rafath) which is the obscene and vulgar of language.
And also, (khalof) which is the mouth's odor of a fasting person
Fasting is unique among all kinds of worship rituals.

The Fast will proclaim: 'O Allah! I prevented him from eating and carnal desire in the day time. Therefore; let my intercession be accepted on his behalf.' The Qu'ran will proclaim: 'I prevented him from sleeping. Therefore, let my intercession be accepted on his behalf.' The intercession of both will be accepted." [Declared Hasan by Al-Albany]

[حسنه الألباني]

Hozayfa- Allah be pleased with him- said, I leaned the prophet’s head-peace and prayers be upon him- to my chest and he said, “who said there is no God but Allah as the last act in his life, he goes to Heaven. And who paid alms for the sake of Allah’s satisfaction as his last act in life, he goes to Heaven.” [Declared authentic by Al-Albany]
