All the praises and thanks be to Allah alone, and prayers and peace of Allah be upon the last and seal of the Prophets.

This is a message sent by a compassionate mentor brother who is keen for your joy and happiness in both this worldly life and the Hereafter.

My Young Brother:

Here you are swallowing the bitterness of fatigue and pain of life every day and night!! There is nothing worse than the bitterness of life than committing sins and rushing upon pleasures and lustrous desires, as they are the death-blow that have spoiled your youth and hindered you from living your youth as strong and firm with determination and high enthusiasm.

Brother:

How many young people there are who have taken their own desires as their driver, what a bad driver desire is!

Have you not seen, O brother how Allah has dispraised lustrous desires in his Noble Book?! Allah Almighty has said, {Have you seen him who takes his own lust (vain desires) as his ilah (god), and Allah knowing (him as such), left him astray, and sealed his hearing and his heart, and put a cover on his sight. Who then will guide him after Allah? Will you not then remember?} [Surat Aj-Jâthiyah 45:23]

Transliteration: Afaraayta mani ittakhatha ilahahu hawahu waadallahu Allahu AAala AAilmin wakhatama AAala samAAihi waqalbihi wajaAAala AAala basarihi ghishawatan faman yahdeehi min baAAdi Allahi afala tathakkaroona

By Allah what have you found in the life of lustrous desire?

Have you found a pleasure with everlasting happiness?

Have you found delight and serenity that fill your soul?

Have you found in yourself a carving for the Hereafter, and to the paradise of your Lord, the Almighty which. The width of such paradise is like the width of the whole of the heavens and earth, which He has prepared to those who obey Him?

Have you found a love to obeying your Lord and devoting yourself wholeheartedly to worshipping Him?

My Young Brother:

How happy you will be the day when you get up in the morning and start your day by obeying Allah Almighty, and kill your desire in such a day. You can, brother, count such day among your good days that will benefit you tomorrow.

When you stand before Allah Almighty you will need one good deed. Do not be satisfied, brother, with only one day. Be keen in making all your days white. May Allah whiten your face and mine on the day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection) when some faces will be (lit up with) white and some faces will be (in the gloom of) black.

Abu Ad-Dardâ', may Allah be pleased with him, said, "When a man rises in the morning, his desire and deed gather together, if his deed is a follower to his desire, his day then will be an evil day, and if his desire is a follower to his deed, then his day will be a good day."

Brother:

Why do you forget that you are a Muslim?
Why do you forget the reason for which you were created?
Have you forgotten that days pass and your youth passes with them?

My Young Brother:

Where are you from the consequences of sins? Misery and anxiety in this worldly life, and torment and hell on the Day of Account.

Al-Fudayl ibn Ayadh, may Allah have mercy on him, said, "Whoever is overcomed by lustrous desires, the means of success will be cut off from him."

Brother:

Make your goal in life to obey your Lord Almighty, so you will be glad in this worldly life and gain the high ranks on the Day of Resurrection.

Prayers and peace of Allah be upon our Prophet Muhammad and upon all his family and companions.
