The keys of provision
He almighty has warned the humankind from being busy by life and its requirements to the point of neglecting the worship. And He warned it that if it did so, it would gain nothing more than what has been assigned for it.

Before the beginning
For not letting life destroy the hearts, and steal the minds by its glitter
Allah has emphasized repeatedly that it is He the All-Provider, and that the humankind has only to exert effort and do not be lazy.
He almighty has warned the humankind from being busy by life and its requirements to the point of neglecting the worship. And He warned it that if it did so, it would gain nothing more than what has been assigned for it.
Nevertheless
Allah has given the believers the keys of livelihood and provision, whoever takes care of these keys Allah would give him more provision, prevent him from poverty, fill his life with pleasure and fill his heart with satisfaction and contentment.
The real intelligent is the one who realizes the aim of these opportunities and could improve his vim to reach to the point of the true belief in Allah and acquiring the reasons at the same time.
The first key:
Repentance and seeking forgiveness
Repentance and seeking forgiveness is the supreme key of livelihood. The more you seek forgiveness the more your provision will be, by the will of Allah almighty.
Allah almighty says: “And said, 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Indeed, He is ever a Perpetual Forgiver. (10) He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in [continuing] showers (11) And give you increase in wealth and children and provide for you gardens and provide for you rivers.” [Nuh 71:10-12]
Transliteration: Faqultu istaghfiroo rabbakum innahu kana ghaffaran (10) Yursili alssamaa AAalaykum midraran (11) Wayumdidkum biamwalin wabaneena wayajAAal lakum jannatin wayajAAal lakum anharan
The second key:
Spending in Allah’s cause
Dear brother, know that money never decrease as long as you spend it in Allah’s cause.
Therefore, provide more for the poor and needy people and those who fight for Allah’s cause.
Allah almighty says: “The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and knowing.” [Al-Baqarah 2:261]
Transliteration: Mathalu allatheena yunfiqoona amwalahum fee sabeeli Allahi kamathali habbatin anbatat sabAAa sanabila fee kulli sunbulatin miatu habbatin waAllahu yudaAAifu liman yashao waAllahu wasiAAun AAaleemun
And He almighty says: “Say, "Indeed, my Lord extends provision for whom He wills of His servants and restricts [it] for him. But whatever thing you spend [in His cause] - He will compensate it; and He is the best of providers."” [Saba 34:39]
Transliteration: Qul inna rabbee yabsutu alrrizqa liman yashao min AAibadihi wayaqdiru lahu wama anfaqtum min shayin fahuwa yukhlifuhu wahuwa khayru alrraziqeena
The third key:
Joining the tie of relationship
Joining the tie of relationship provides two benefits; first it expands the means of sustenance, second it lengthens the age. Whoever wants these two advantages should join the tie of relationship, even if he had a kind of dislike toward one of his relative.
The prophet peace be upon him said: “He who is desirous that his means of sustenance should be expanded for him or his age may be lengthened, should join the tie of relationship” [narrated by Al-Bukhari]
The fourth key:
Having Taqwa
Taqwa means fearing Allah, keeping one’s duty to Him, being satisfied with the little and being ready to the day of death.
The following is another practical definition to Taqwa:
Taqwa means to be sure that you are not where Allah has prohibited you, and be sure that you are where He had ordained you.
Allah almighty says: “And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out (2) And will provide for him from where he does not expect.” [Al-Talaq :2-3]
Transliteration: waman yattaqi Allaha yajAAal lahu makhrajan (2) Wayarzuqhu min haythu la yahtasibu
The fifth key:
Emigration in the cause of Allah
Emigration in the cause of Allah means to emigrate from the place of the sins and illegal deeds to another place you could be sure that your religion and worship is safe in it. You should not live with those who are disobedient to Allah, and then seek the means of livelihood from Him, unless you are not affected by them and your religion and worship are safe.
Allah almighty says: “And whoever emigrates for the cause of Allah will find on the earth many [alternative] locations and abundance.” [An-Nisa 4:100]
Transliteration: Waman yuhajir fee sabeeli Allahi yajid fee alardi muraghaman katheeran wasaAAatan
The sixth key:
Performing Hajj and Umrah
You should perform Hajj and Umrah repeatedly. Never think that your money would be decreased by Hajj or Umrah, and be sure from this by asking who is accustomed for performing that.
Did his money decrease? Or did it increase?!
The prophet peace be upon him said: “Perform Hajj and Umrah after each other, because they eliminate poverty and sins as the fire eliminates the slag of iron, gold and silver; moreover, the accepted Hajj has no reward but the paradise” [narrated by At-Tirmizy]
The seventh key:
Putting trust in Allah
This means to seek the reasons of livelihood then to be sure that it would come to you. This is not like staying lazy and saying that Allah has previously appointed everything.
Allah almighty says: “And there is no creature on earth but that upon Allah is its provision” [Hud 11:6]
Transliteration: Wama min dabbatin fee alardi illa AAala Allahi rizquha
The prophet peace be upon him said: “If you truly put your trust in Allah, He would provide you with your provision as He does with the birds. They go hungry and return replete” [narrated by Ahmed]
The eighth key:
Devoting the time for worshipping Allah
This means to neglect life’s competitions, be satisfied with the little that is enough to you and devote the rest of your time for worshipping Allah and preaching to His way.
The prophet peace be upon him reported His lord saying: “O child of Adam, devote your time for worshipping me, and I would satisfy you and eliminate your poverty. If you did not do, I would give you work but keep you poor.” [Narrated by Ahmed Shaker]
The ninth key:
Spending over who has devoted his time for seeking knowledge
Whoever has poor brother, friend or neighbor studies to be able to bring benefit to the Muslims, he would provide to him whatever he can provide in order to keep him in this way. This would be a key of provision for the provider.
Anas bin Malek narrated that on the period of the prophet peace be upon him, there were two brothers; one of them attends the prophet peace be upon him, and the other works. The one who works complained his brother to the prophet peace be upon him. So the prophet, peace be upon him, said: “You might have provisioned because of him” [narrated by At-Tirmizy]
The tenth key:
Beneficence and kindness for the weak and poor people
That is because their hearts are more connected to Allah as a result of their poverty and weakness. Be beneficent to them and Allah would be beneficent to you.
The prophet, peace be upon him, said: “Do you gain victory and provision because of other than the weak people that are among you” [narrated by Al-Bukhari]
