Is it proven that the righteous wife will have a reward like that of one who fasts and prays qiyaam?

I once read a hadith in an islamic forum but the reference for the hadith was not mentioned. The hadith sounds beautiful but i'll love to confirm it's authenticity before i quote it to anyone. The hadith goes like this, the Prophet(saw) said, " When one of youdoes her best to be a good wife, The reward equals someone who is fasting all day and praying all night." I'll really appreciate your help.

Praise be to Allah.Perhaps you are referring to the report that was narrated by at-Tabaraani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat [6733], and Ibn 'Asaakir in his Tareekh [43/348], via 'Amr ibn Sa'eed al-Khawlaani from Anas ibn Maalik, according to which Salaamah the nurse of ... Continue Reading

Does the one who takes a shower to cool down have to do wudoo’ for prayer?

Is it Correct to pray without wadoo immedietly after coming from a normal bath.

Praise be to Allaah. It is mustahabb for a Muslim to do wudoo’ before ghusl, following the example of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). If ghusl is done in cases of major impurity such as janaabah (impurity following sexual activity) and menstruation, and the ... Ruling on making phone apps for some educational projects and selling them

Is it permissible to make phone apps to sell Islamic information? For example, the iPhone mobile phone has a number of apps that are sold via the Apple company, such as the electronic Mushaf, Saheeh al-Bukhaari, Saheeh Muslim, and so on. I would like to make apps like these, that deal with the Qur’an and Prophet’s hadeeths, for the iPhone and iPad, and upload them to the App Store as unique apps.

Praise be to Allah. Striving to spread knowledge and the Qur’an is a great good deed, and making use of modern technology to do that is one of the best and greatest good deeds, if a person does it seeking to please Allah, especially nowadays when followers of whims and desires and the ... Allaah is above His Throne and He is close to us by His Knowledge

Quran says "Angels and Gabriel ascents to Allah in a day equivalent to 5000 terrestrial years. Does it imply that Allah is controlling the earthly matters sitting on the throne? Then how can be Allah nearer to us than the veins?
Praise be to Allaah. It is proven in the Qur’aan and Sunnah and by the consensus (ijmaa’) of the salaf (early generations) of this ummah that Allaah is above His heavens on His Throne, and that He is the Exalted, Most High. He is Above all things, and there is nothing that is above ... Continue Reading

Asking the Muslim about the state of his heart and his faith

Is it permissible to ask the Muslims -when meeting with them- about the state of their faith or their hearts? One of them said to me that this is a matter of the unseen and that it is not appropriate to ask about it.

Praise be to Allah. What is prescribed for the Muslim is to encourage those he meets to adhere to the truth in word and deed, and to be patient in doing that and calling people to it, as Allah, may He be exalted, says:{وَالْعَصْرِ . إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لَفِي خُسْرٍ . إِلَّا ... Continue Reading

When are the words of a scholar, whether he was a Sahaabi or otherwise, regarded as binding evidence?

Sometimes we hear opinions that were narrated from the Sahaabah, or sometimes other opinions that were narrated from the imams (leading scholars) on various occasions, although the basic principle directs us to follow the Qur'an and Sunnah. When does the Muslim have to follow the opinion of the Sahaabi or imam? How can we reconcile between this and the obligation of following the Qur'an and Sunnah?

Praise be to Allah. The obligation of following the Qur'an and Sunnah does not contradict the idea of learning from the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and from the imams who are known to have been men of knowledge and virtue. In fact learning from ... Continue Reading

How to memorize the Holy Qur’aan?
