1- A great act of worship that is mentioned in Qur’an more than 90 times, Allah (Subhanhu Wa Ta'ala) loves and supports those who have it and maintain it.
2- Patience is to have self-control and to keep oneself on the truth, and on the right path no matter what happens. And having knowledge helps you have patience and a mixture of knowledge and patience makes you always steadfast.
3- Patience is one of the most important principles in Islam, it is an ingredient of our Islamic manners, because every virtue in Islam needs patience to be fulfilled and maintained like: Piety, Generosity, Good Suspicion, Justice, Modesty, and so on.
4- Patience has three types:
- To have patience in obeying Allah.
- To have patience in abstaining from sins.
- To have patience in not complaining about what Allah Has decreed for you.
5- Patience is something that Allah loves, so this means that it is an act of worship, so it leads us one step closer to Allah, because it is something that is praised by Allah Himself and practiced by His prophets and messengers (May Allah Be Pleased With Them) who went through all kinds of oppression and persecution yet they never thought of retaliating or taking revenge, they even prayed for those who had oppressed them, and our beloved prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the best example here, he was patient in carrying the message of Islam, and in giving D’awah to people with facing all sorts of hardships, like being expelled out of Mecca, but he knew how to handle the affairs of the Ummah with patience.
