The Messenger of Allah (prayer and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “There are two blessings which many people don’t make good use of for doing good: (They are) Health and free time.” [Reported by Al-Bukhari]

Dear Muslim sister, you should contemplate the prophet’s saying “many people don’t make good use of”, as it indicates that only few people who are guided to thank Almighty Allah for the grace of having free time and this is corresponding to Almighty Allah’s saying {.... But few of My slaves are grateful….} [Surat Saba` 34:13]

Abi Barzah Fadlah ibn ‘Ubaid Al-Aslami Narrated that the Prophet (prayer and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “A slave’s feet in the Day of Judgment will not move (from the reckoning land) till he is asked about: In what ways did he spend his life? His knowledge what did he do with it? His money, how did he earn it? And where did he spend it? His body in what means did he wear it out?” [Reported by At-Tirmidhi and authenticated by Al-Albani]

Some Muslim sisters, once they finish their housework or job, they work on reading magazines which are full of seductions, suspicious pictures and trivial news.

The Muslim sister forgets that these magazines exhaust her money, effort and time and finally causes harm to her. Some Muslim sisters spend most of their times in watching the TV channels which display movies, series and seductive programs that waste times, the Almighty Allah says: {And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things), and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts).} [Surat An-Nûr 24:31]

Transliteration: Wa Qul Lilmu’umināti Yaghđuđna Min ‘Abşārihinna Wa Yaĥfažna Furūjahunna

Some of our Muslim sisters spend their times surfing the internet to waste time and make improper advances.

Taifor Al-Battami said: “The night and day are the capital of the believer, if he makes good use of them, he will win paradise, but if he doesn’t make good use of them, he will win Hell fire.”

The woman who spent the night in false desires and spent the day in the amusement and sinful deeds, What does she expect to find in her grave?

The Markets are the most hateful places for Almighty Allah and they are the Satan’s nest, so you shouldn’t aimlessly go out for shopping because this contradicts Almighty Allah’s saying: {And stay in your houses….} [Surat Al-Ahzab 33:33]

The Messenger of Allah (prayer and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “If anyone sits in a gathering where he does not remember Allah, it would be (counted on him as) a deprivation from Allah; and anyone lying down in a place where he does not remember Allah, it would be (counted on him as) a deprivation from Allah.” [Reported by Abu Dawûd and Al-Albani said: good authentic]

Dear Muslim sister: you should remember that Almighty Allah has created you to worship Him, the Almighty Allah says: {And I (Allâh) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone)} [Surat Az-Zariyat 51:56]

Therefore Allah has given you life with its graces, times and places and made the test for you in this life is to worship Him, the Almighty Allah says: {So whoever hopes for the Meeting with his Lord, let him work righteousness and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord.} [Surat Al-Kahf 18:110]

Transliteration: faman kana yarjoo liqaa rabbihi falyaAAmal AAamalan salihan walayushrik biAAibadati rabbihi ahadan

Every moment passes of your life, is a test for you so you should think how and where do you spend it…… The slaves’ feet in the Day of Judgment will not move (from the reckoning land) till they are asked about their life how was it spent?

And prayer and peace of Allah be upon our messenger Muhammad, and upon his family and companions.
